Weekly Seahawks breakdown:

1. Wrap up - I have no idea how many times James was hit in the backfield or at the LOS, and wasn't wrapped up. McDaniel had a few bad attempted tackles.

2. Base set aren't fast enough - The Seahawks base sets are getting torched on wide zone plays because they lose contain and the DE's are quick enough to the RB and the secondary is left making tackles or taking on linemen. I'd be putting Bennett in a lot more base sets and running some traditional 4-3 gap principles instead of 3-4 principles with 4-3 personnel.

3. Bevell is a moron - Some of his playcalling is truly mind boggling. Every 3rd down was a ridiculous spread formation with short over the middle routes. Obviously this doesn't work with a short QB and WR's who can't get separation. He seemed to at least figure it out by the end of the 4th quarter and overtime. He's being talked up as a head coaching candidate, and that would terrify me if my team was looking for a head coach.

4. That Earl Thomas INT was legit - Ron Winter can eat a bag dicks, because his officiating crew has been the most brutal in the NFL for a while. Ghost pass interference calls and missing blatant holds on both sides of the ball by both teams.

5. Seahawks zone plays need to be redesigned - Presnap motions are leaving a 5'9'' Earl Thomas on 6'3'' TE's which doesn't work.

6. Dan Quinn's blitz packages aren't working - His DE's are losing contain on the outside and there's no one able to take on a double team up the middle. A fast QB could burn us.

7. Malcolm Smith needs to play more - He could be a legit answer to the WLB position. Wright is fine, Wagner is fine, but Irvin still isn't ready.

8. Kam Chancellor is overpaid - I still wish Seattle had taken Shamarko Thomas last year.

9. Turbin blows - I cringe every time he touches the ball, because a small breeze could knock him off his feet. Get Michael the ball if you want to spell Lynch.

There's a lot of ridiculous management going on here, and I'm not at all happy with the coaching staff this season. As far as talent scouting goes, Pete Carroll is still the best, but I don't trust him to make the right decisions. For being a defensive line wizard, Dan Quinn is doing a terrible job, continuing the issues from Bradley last season.

Some of this can be fixed, some of it is personnel problems that can't be fixed and can be exploited.

The question is, where do you put the Seahawks in your current power rankings? As good as the talent may be on the team, the coaches are a factor in game outcomes.

Chiefs Weekly Recap:

Played crappy, again, and found a way to win. Again.

The punter and kicker played well.

Seachickens blow, BTW. That is all.  Kiss

The Seahawks O-line blew against Tampa too. 0 sacks allowed, but that's because of Wilson. He was pressured on 63% of his dropbacks, which is buttfuck crazy.

Defensive player of the year.

There isn't another safety who changes the defense the way he does.

Seahawks game has got me nervous as hell, now unger and red out as well as the others, now we played like doodoo against teams we should of dominated who had bad qb's I'm not going to let atlanta record fool me, they have matty ice at home. I don't care how ugly we win, a win to me would be huge  (prays)

I'm not all that worried. With the way Wilson has been playing, I don't see this game as much of a challenge. Hopefully Unger being out means he can learn that shotgun snaps don't have to roll to the QB. Bennett on the edge playing the 5-tech will be a great test as well. I could see Bryant getting cut (getting paid $9 million next season, all guaranteed money is paid meaning no dead money), and Bennett getting a contract extension after this year.
