Lol!  I guess behavior DOES start with the coach.  Cheesy

http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1992-12-22/sports/9203080015_1_jets-defensive-coordinator-pete-carroll-shula

there are no indentations or spaces I guess cause of my phone.   Tongue

MIAMI -- Jets defensive coordinator Pete Carroll flashed the choke sign moments after Pete Stoyanovich`s missed extra point Sunday night, but the choke was on the Jets.Stoyanovich kicked a 37-yard field goal with seven seconds left and the Jets were forced to swallow a 19-17 loss. Stoyanovich got his second chance after the Jets were stopped on three downs, Louie Aguiar shanked a 29-yard punt and the Dolphins drove 26 yards in six plays. After the game, Carroll apologized about the gesture, which was captured by ESPN`s cameras.``Yeah, I did it,`` Carroll said. ``I regret that it happened, and you can write that. It wasn`t fair to him at all.````I didn`t see it,`` Dolphins coach Don Shula said Monday. ``But if he did it, I`m glad it came back to haunt him.``Carroll said he got caught up in the emotions of the game. He was frustrated over Tony Martin`s 55-yard touchdown catch before Stoyanovich`s miss. Carroll and Jets coach Bruce Coslet said the Dolphins should have been penalized for having linemen downfield before the throw.Shula said the play was in accordance with rules.``In looking at the tape, it looked like (guard) Keith Sims was the lineman farthest down field and he was straddling the line of scrimmage as the ball was being released, which is legal.``When asked if Carroll`s gesture was unprofessional, Shula paused.``I remember one of mine many years ago,`` Shula said, clutching his throat. ``But mine was directed at an official. I got a flag for that. (Pause). And a fine.``

I'm guessing Crabtree gets the diving from his coach then too?

It's funny, people were calling me crazy all year for saying the Seahawks were going to the Superbowl. I love it.

I don't remember anyone calling you crazy- more like laughing at what a pathetic homer you were being.

Seattle benefited from a very down year in the NFL.  Good for them.  That's probably the last sniff of a championship (conference or otherwise) they'll see again for a long time.

Oh right, the down year that included the 42-22 NFC west, but hey, let's just say it's a down year because the East Coast teams were brutal.

I'm sure it matters though, because Seattle didn't play them at all.

Thanks to Richard Sherman the Pats are no longer the most hated team.  Thank you Richard

Seattle has been a pretty average team away from home and if the weather is decent......Denver could surprise.

I wouldn't call 6-2 average, thats tied for the best road record this season. Richard Sherman is the new Ali

The record was there but the w's were not dominating.  If I was betting, the $$$ goes on the hawks but you cannot just disregard PM.

I agree but its tough to win on the road in the nfl so I like the fact they can win the close ones in hostile environments. Its those close games on the road that they found a way to keep fighting and hold onto or comeback in the 4th quarter that prepare them for big games like the one coming up. Now that I know that they are in the super bowl I'm much happier that the road games turned out the way they did instead of us blowing teams out because hopefully they learned something from those situations

I doubt people really hate seahawks just for that interview one guy being ****y etc look at russell wilson if you want humble. Lets be real here people hate seahawks because they are a solid ass defensive team they aren't like the saints gb or denver they don't beat you with hail marrys. They beat you by being tough defensively and runing the ball down your throat that isn't exciting for some of people. Making them the villain makes it easy to have someone to root for in the superbowl when your team isn't in there the pass happy exciting offense etc.
