Can't wait for ddd to come in here and explain to us that the seahawks didn't even really want jared allen and how jared allen isn't that good anyway.

He's fine but not excellent. Worth $8 million per? Absolutely not. He got the same AAV as Bennett for way less QB pressures in way more snaps. Consider Bennett gets pressure from the inside and Allen isn't close to that price. Smart move by Schneider.

Raiders offered him 9M what a chump... but I respect him for choosing the better fit and not money.

we offered somewhere between 6.5-7mill a year, on are line he would of only played like 60 percent of the snaps. I understand that he wanted to get closer to what he is worth and wanted to play alot. i just think the best decision would of been Seattle for him in because it gives him a good shot at a ring and also not playing 90 percent of snaps would keep him fresh in his old age and on a 2 year contract that might give him enough gas in the tank to sign another contract with somebody else 2 years down the road which in the long run might make him more money overall then his chicago contract got him because his chicago contract is only something like 15 mill guaranteed . I aint gonna lie I wanted him and it hurts that he isn't a hawk but **** got to move to plan B now

I hope the Seahawks have a good draft and last years draftees can step up this year, 49ers have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds of this years draft! thats insane and I'm seriously jealous in a draft as deep as this one, if they do it right that gives them years of quality play with mixxing superstars and young studs and not having to worry about the salary cap

Yeah, there a a lot of pissed Niner fans because we didn't pick up a big name free agent, but because of our drafting abilities, we can get a good mix of Veterans and young talent that doesn't cost much for 3 years at a time.

McDaniel is the new Red Bryant, so the 5-Tech is base sets. Mebane is still the 1-Tech. I'm guessing Bennett and Avril rotate at LEO in base sets, which leaves Scruggs and Jesse Williams to battle it out for the 3-Tech spot. My money is on Scruggs, Williams is a 5-Tech to me, he's slow off the line. Needs to play in a reactionary role. In passing downs, Benett slides inside to the 1-Tech, Avril moves over to the strong side 5-Tech, Hill comes in as the 3-Tech (the new McDonald role) which leaves the LEO open. I wouldn't be surprised to see Irvin play the LEO on passing downs, or have Avril still there and let Irvin rush from the strong side while Wright slides over to the SAM and Smith plays the WILL. The problem with this is we aren't taking advantage of Irvin's pass coverage skills which are really underrated. Looking back, Irvin really is a physical freak. He's got corner splits but can play on the line. Ridiculous.

I like Boatright a little more then Mayowa. Mayowa plays way too high for me, doesn't generate enough leverage. It's something that can be fixed, but I'm not all that confident in it happening.
