Wait seriously? Sherman is one of if not the best tacklers at CB. His run support is always outstanding.

Did you watch the link? He must've taken last Sunday off then.

You're confusing angle of attack with shying away from contact. Charles is the fastest RB in the league, you need to play off.

That was maybe the case on one of the plays- the sideline run to the end zone. Not the rest. Even during that sideline run, he mad a weak arm swipe at Charles.
Not indicative of an 'elite' CB. Champ Bailey never shied away from engaging a blocker to get to the ball carrier. Sherman can't hold his jock.

Bailey was a pure cover corner. He was never relied on for run support because he always had a receiver lined up on him. Sherman plays the defensive left most of the time, so trips left for example leaves him over a TE. Sherman crashes the box on run plays so hard, Bailey was relied upon for downfield tackles. Not even close to a fair comparison.

We covered that point. Smith passed when he needed to... and he didn't really need to. Seattle's d-line laid down for most of the game.

If he could have thrown on them, he would have. Sherman owns his side of the field, and given the choice, I'd rather have someone make QBs afraid to throw to entire third of the field than someone who plays man up.

obviously I'm a Seahawks fan here. But I have to say the only reason they didn't throw on them was because there was no need to , they were running the ball down our throats and killing clock.

That's ridiculous. The big play is something you take if you can, no team wants to not use the big play.

I mean seriously, four explosive plays for Kansas City. Four. The Seahawks had nine. Add in turnovers and it's fucking crazy that the Chiefs somehow managed to win. This is the second season in a row that the Seahawks have led the league by a wide margin in toxic differential (big plays allowed + turnovers recovered - big plays allowed - turnovers). Teams with a higher toxic differential are generally your best teams in football. There's a reason teams go for the big play whenever they can. No team is dumb enough to not take the big play when they have it. The Chiefs offense didn't have it against the LoB.
