So, I thinking about trading in some games. What is the best process for this? Where should I look?

Are there places that offer cash? Where have you found that give you the best credit towards future purchases?

Thanks!

I always heard gamestop gave you cash but I've never done it so I don't really know.

Well, I have a giftcard there currently. I wonder if they give you more in-store credit if you are willing to take that (as opposed to just getting cash). Hmmmm....

Oof. Yeah, Gamestop gives you cash back or credit but don't expect it to be a decent or even fair amount. I got like ten dollars for like 3 more recent games. I felt robbed Tongue

Grrr.

Amazon has a buy back... but they only give you credit. Which is kind of cool because they have a little bit of everything! I have gotten about $10-$20 per game at this point. I just didn't know if I was missing out.

I would definitely go the Amazon route. Gamestop gives you at most $25 for games released in the last 3 months. If they're older than that, expect $10.

Gamestop will give you lint change.

Amazon will net you much more cash.

Haha. I am pretty sure those that I play with would consider it a gift if I DID get myself a new headset. Mine doesn't exactly block out environmental noise very well. Plus I heard that having a great headset dramatically can increase your game in FPSs because you can literally hear people walking around.

Hmmm.. LT, tempting... very tempting.

I think when all is said and done, at this point, I will be getting about $60 in Amazon credit.

Best Buy and Gamestop frequently have great trade in deals. I traded in 9 games (released in 2008-2011) and bought 7 games with that, most were $25 each. I got like $180 for them, I think.

It's all about stalking the trade in deals until something you want comes up. Right now, (in Canada) you get 50% extra trade in credit at EB Games (Gamestop) for each game you trade in towards any used game. You can essentially trade in 10 games, and easily buy 10 used ones.

This is how I afford so many games, I get almost every game that comes out, because when I'm done with games, I trade em back. The cycle never ends!  Smiley

Hmmm. Then I guess I have to decide if I want to get games or not. That scenario shows that if I want games... it is the best deal.

However, if I would like money to purchase other things I need, Amazon may have to be my best option.

Either way, you have a pretty nice set up there, DG!
