That's good news. Next time, avoid best buy. Buy the card yourself if you have to and take it to a tech shop and you'll save a lot more.

The "main guy" there wanted to avoid doing that at all costs, cause it's inconvenient and would mean one less sale for them.

Too bad it was inconvenient for me to wait 2 days.

Also, Skyrim still won't run properly. yay

I have a feeling it's that dumb power supply, my computer is above the "recommended" specs to play Skyrim.

Skyrim is more CPU heavy than most games.

Post your specs.

That's a very good processor, I don't think it's bottlenecking you in anyway. Probably driver issues with Skyrim.

Frap's good for knowing how many FPS you're getting.

You just run it in the background and once you get into a game it will display the FPS on one of the corners. It's good for lowering the details if you're running low fps.

Run it in the background? It's a screen recorder... I really don't understand. You want me to record Skyrim?

No, FRAPS also works for showing you the FPS you're getting in the game just in case the game you're playing doesn't have that option.

Well I did it, it was almost always 60.

It froze once I got near water. lol I was only on medium settings, I should be able to go a bit higher but it's gon' crash anyways. Silly thing. Borderlands runs perfectly fine at high.

So... Borderlands crashes once in a while, I dropped the graphics down and that doesn't seem to change anything, so the graphics don't matter. Skyrim freezes quite a bit. I really don't understand this.  Undecided

Have you researched if AMD has graphics issues with those games?
