I extensively used the MWR G3 and Wii Blops M-14 & FAL, semi-autos, they were not overpowered and lesser used. The MW3 MK-14 semi-auto is a bit nicer, it works well with a silencer to boot. I think I am going to put Gold on it, I score better and it will be a pleasure, although it hurts my accuracy; it is just so easy to pull that trigger when you have the firepower. Previously, I avoided using the MK-14 because it is butter easy compared to previous COD semi-autos, that kind of logic does not lead to a good k/d, lol.

Try using it in hc tdm, not sure how many kills I have from picking it up but I tend to pick my shots with it.

I have not played hc since MWR. Regular COD modes are plenty hc for me, ie. you die quick enough in standard FFA/TDM for me. I lean more toward MOHH2 where you can take some damage and survive versus the counterstrike / hc model where you simply die quicker. I have never played PC counterstrike but that is my understanding.

Nice gun agreed, but how does rapid fire work on a semi auto? I would think it all comes down to ones trigger finger.

Great gun, imo fun to work with but hard to use when everyone else is running the op guns. Nice gun agreed, but how does rapid fire work on a semi auto? I would think it all comes down to ones trigger finger.
Rapid fire works on it by letting your trigger finger pull of shots faster than without rapid fire on. it's a huge difference if you compare them side by side

I am always skeptical on Wii if certain perks like rapid fire actually do something, rapid fire on Wii MW3 MK-14 does seem to let you fire faster (ie. you do not hit the semi-auto fire cap with a quick finger). I have used rapid fire, rapid fire with silencer (2 attachments) is nice, the way to go with the MK-14 imo and gets you kills firing from hip too. My overall accuracy was falling with rapid fire MK-14 naturally throwing out the lead, so I am now using ACOG and silencer MK-14 (no rapid fire), trying to ADS as accurately/efficiently as possible and not spam bullets. Yeah, op faster firing full autos particularly in the hands of experienced players do give me pain. I have rounds, even though the MK-14 is a nice semi-auto, well it does not go well for my k/d. As referenced above op fast firing full autos kill fast, hard to counter without using a full auto yourself, that is just COD. Some full autos, like some of the assault rifles / lmgs are better balanced but experienced players can make any full auto nasty. Last night, I played against this guy named Shadowzrise (or something) and he was using a not as widely used lmg, lots of firepower but you run slower. Unlike a newbie who sits in a corner with an lmg, this guy was running and gunning the lmg nicely. He was liberally throwing out the suppressing lmg lead, that is how to use an lmg, it was refreshing and something different to see someone dominate with an lmg -- he would start peppering you while jumping or going prone skillfully. I am just playing to keep my accuracy above 40%, enjoy using non-full autos that I find rewarding fun and stand tall with non-full autos. You have to handicap your score up in your mind to make yourself feel better -- one game last night I battled hard against the full autos using whatever skill I could muster and I finished 18-18 with a sniper and I had to soothe/think to myself you represented CAEN well, lol.

I don't own MW3, and have to give it back tomorrow, but I just started using the MK-14 (just unlocked it) and it's pretty good. I think I'll put on Rapid Fire if I'm able, as I have a pretty fast trigger finger. I use the FAL quite a bit in MW2.
