Talk about anything college football related Afro

I was surprised at how good Alabama was considering the amount of talent they lost they just replace it with someone just as good its remarkable lol.

College football is the greatest level of the greatest sport in America.

Alabama will be the best team for a long time as long as they have Nick Saban. They will keep getting the top recruiting class and continue to dominate the rest of the country. There is no question in my mind that they far surpass any other team in the country, including Southern Cal, who I don't even think is better than Oregon.

Speaking of Oregon,

I'm surprised at how well their freshman quarterback did. Although, it was against Arkansas State, the domination was just unbelievable. They could have put up 120 against Arkansas State if they really wanted to.

Another thing, I'm surprised at how poorly the Gus Malzahn coached Ark St played. I'll give him some time to build the program up before trying to judge him too harshly but maybe Cam Newton WAS the only reason he was seen as a good offensive coordinator.

I was very disappointed, being a Carolina fan, how poorly the SC Gamecocks played against Vanderbilt. We had to get some help from the refs at the end of that game to pull out that win. Though, being a Carolina fan, I'm not surprised. They were down to East Carolina last year and somehow rallied to pull that game out. They just play everyone close which makes it frustrating to be a Gamecock fan. Speaking of East Carolina, the Gamecocks play them this Saturday. I'm a little bit worried about this game considering our QB, Connor Shaw is banged up and how poorly we played even with him versus Vanderbilt. We're really going to need Marcus Lattimore to carry us to victory. I still feel like South Carolina is the best team in the SEC East but they just need to get in the rhythm of things.

Not surprised Penn State lost, they suck and have sucked for a while. Only reason they've been able to pull out 6-8 wins consistently the past 10 or so years  is because they win against the people they should win  against e.g: the low Big Ten teams (Illinois, Indiana etc) and their cupcakes (Youngstown St (who demolished Pitt btw lol) etc) anytime they come against real competition they'll lose, a lot like Notre Dame but I feel like Notre Dame is actually becoming a decent team under Brian Kelly.

This year Penn State can't even beat Ohio, albeit, Ohio is the best team in the MAC but still. OHIO. Going to be a rough year in Happy Valley.

Ellington looked great against Auburn's defense but he won't be able to do that against South Carolina's stout defensive line in November. Roll Eyes

Also, Louisville is pretty much a lock for a BCS bowl game, only decent team in that pathetic "BCS" conference. The Big East sucks so bad Vanderbilt could probably win it (not saying Vanderbilt is a horrible team, just an average team that would look amazing in the Big East)

One more thing, Virginia Tech looked pretty pathetic Monday night but it was against an equally pathetic Georgia Tech team. VT will still win their division because everyone in the Coastal division is terrible. The only two teams that can beat VT in the ACC are FSU and Clemson, but unfortunately they are both in the Atlantic division. Therefore, VT will somehow find their way in the ACC championship again.

Last thing for really! Speaking of Florida State, I think their recruiting has finally got them back on track. Look for them to blaze through the crappy ACC, only challenge being Clemson.

My BCS Conference Champions Predictions

Big Ten Champ - Michigan

Leaders - Ohio State  Legends - Michigan

Pac-12 Champ - Oregon

North - Oregon          South - USC

ACC Champ - Florida State

Atlantic - FSU       Coastal - Virginia Tech

SEC Champ - Alabama

East - South Carolina West - Alabama

Big East - Louisville

Big 12 - West Virginia

National Championship Game - Oregon v Alabama

National Champion - Alabama

Lol at the entire Big Ten for being so terrible. Seriously, the Pac-12 literally owned the Big Ten this past weekend. Wisconsin loses to Oregon State. Nebraska loses to UCLA. Illinois gets man-handled by Az St, albeit, not a surprise.

Plus, Michigan barely squeaks by Air Force. It was awesome watching South Carolina dominate ECU, and it wasn't even Lattimore. It was our defense making plays and our wide receivers stepping up along with our back-up quarterback Dylan Thompson. Hopefully we get Shaw back next week though, Thompson has the agility of a slug and doesn't have great pocket presence, he does have an arm though.

I feel really confident about my conference champion picks after this weekend.

And yes, lol @ Arkansas.

I think in 2-3 years Ohio State could contend again for a national title (a year or two after their bowl ban is lifted) because Urban Meyer is a great coach who can recruit very well.

Also what do you guys think about Savannah State playing those higher division teams like Oklahoma State (84-0) and FSU (55-0 - game didn't even finish) to get a big paycheck to fund the athletic program. I don't feel it's fair to the athletes at the lower division schools regardless of how much the school gets which is around 400,000 per game because it hurts their pride.

Jim Mora Jr. seems to be doing a pretty good job at UCLA since they beat Nebraska and are in the polls which I find neat since UCLA hasn't been good.

I'm excited to see USC vs Stanford this weekend Smiley

RE: Savannah State

I think the players are ok with it, stadiums they will never play in again.  A chance to compete against top level competition, it's all good imho.

to compete with Alabama and lsu you need a massive offensive line to counter their massive d lines. braxton miller or whatever is a pretty electric qb but im sure that ua and lsu would take him out of the game just like they did to d Robinson something like 40-17 score if they where to play imo.

I'm so glad Stanford exposed USC this weekend. To be honest, I didn't actually think they'd do it. I thought we had to wait until USC played Oregon to get exposed.

Nonetheless, Oregon is going to beat USC later on and win the Pac-12. But Stanford might actually be the team to win the Pac-12 South now, as long as they don't slip up versus lesser opponents.

And Virginia Tech got exposed pretty bad this weekend, I didn't think Pitt would be the one to do it because they're horrible as well. Nonetheless, Virginia Tech is still going to find their way into the ACC championship because every single team in their division is extremely bad and they already beat GT. They'll get blown out by FSU or Clemson in the championship though.

FSU is looking damn good this year, like they haven't been since Bowden's golden age.

They are clearly the best team in the ACC. The only team worth mentioning at a national stage in that pathetic conference, in my opinion. Clemson may give them a run for their money this weekend but the game is in Tallahassee so I think FSU will win. Tajh Boyd will have to be near flawless for Clemson to win, in my opinion.

I don't think K-State will roll them but I actually do think they'll win. Oklahoma is not that great this year.
