Obama is actually for greener solutions. Romney was not (to an extent). That was discussed at the debate.

And you just said a couple posts ago that we need to continue drilling for oil, but now you are saying that we need greener energy. We can't do both at the same time.

Not stupid, just misguided.

We're making our planet unlivable.  We've got to stop using fossil fuels to such a large extent.  The alternative is us losing the only planet we call home.

I said we need to continue research on greener solutions but that will take time stopping oil production isn't going to help anything except put us more in debt, we still need fuel. And how can't we do both at the same time?

Obama isn't helping us be greener, we are still using the same amount of fuel that we always have except it's being brought over from other countries, why do you think that's a good thing?

I don't think you understood me.  Regardless of how much fuel we get out of our own country, we're still using too much.  Way too much.  The efficiency of new engines isn't going to stem the tide of climate change in any significant way whatsoever.  We have to cut our fossil fuel consumption drastically and quickly or we're going to see our coasts move hundreds of miles inland.

Part of the stimulus was to develop green energy sources.  Unless you expect him to develop such technology himself, I'm not sure what else he can do but throw money their direction.

Consumption of oil is down under Obama, production of oil is up, and imports of foreign oil are down.

I don't, nor did I say I did.  Do not assign opinions to me that are not my own.

I don't see how production can be up when he's stopped most of the land leases.

You'll have to take that up with the United States Energy Information Administration.

You realize this is a website published by the House Republicans, right?  It's got their plan on it and (obviously) stats that support that claim.

Aaaand apparently you didn't see any problem citing GOP.gov.

Surely you're aware of how bias feeds into their arguments.  The EIA is nonpartisan.
