This "disease" is diagnosed as pain at the upper most part of the shin bone, just below the knee cap/patella tendon. It's like where the patella tendon meets the shin bone.

I feel pain here, on my left leg. When I kneel, it hurts, unless I'm kneeling on a soft surface like a bed.

Anyone experience pain in this area??
I have a track meet on December 1, and I really have to do well in this meet, or I'll likely be cut from the track team. I'm gonna have to jump 6'6"+, I would imagine, which I wouldn't be worried about in the least. I know I'm strong enough to jump much higher than that, but the pain in my leg is preventing me from really attacking the take-off.

Gonna try and do more supplemental exercises to work on the hamstrings/quads, plus more yoga/stretching. Dunno what else to do. I can take some anti-inflammatory medication a few days before the meet, along with applying EMU oil to my leg, which is supposed to have anti-inflammatory properties.

My diet is in check. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Also, I've noticed this for a while, but my VMO muscle (that 'teardrop' looking muscle on the inner quadricep) on my left leg is MUCH less defined than on my right.

I can just tell that my left leg is weaker overall. Wish me luck, brahs.

That pain is very common in runners, you should probably get a knee brace and Ice it whenever you have the chance. Have you talked to the trainers or a doctor about it?

I used to get that pretty often when playing soccer. I started playing on a soggy field a lot and every single time i ran on it i would get the pain, but i would never get the pain on any other field.

I was told to just drink a lot of water and i would eventually get accustomed to it, and fortunately i did.

Knee brace does nothing for me. I ice for 15-20 minutes after every practice, and do some supplemental exercises before every practice. Think I'll do a few more exercises in the morning/at night.

I do my exercises before practice in the trainers' room at my college.
