My friend who uses Steam religiously decided he wanted me to play more PC games with him, so he bought me Garry's Mod yesterday.  Pretty fun, and some pretty crazy mods people have made, especially the piano.  Anyone else have this?

Yeah man, I have this. I usually play TTT (Trouble in Terrorist Town) and it is ridiculously fun. It's basically where there are Innocents, Traitors and Detectives but the Innocents and Traitors have the "Innocent" tag on them, so you do not know which are actually trying to kill others. Traitors can plant C4, use Knives to throw at Innocents and Detectives for an Instant kill. There is much much more but I'm way to lazy to explain it all.  Cheesy

I'm probably gonna grab this over the break.  Have you guys tried out the sandbox portion?

Have you had trouble with the framerate when building cars/spaceships?  In a few of the LPs I've seen, that's been an issue.

In any kind of creator or sandbox game, you're going to have to deal with some lag if you summon enough objects, depending also on how detailed they are. Even LittleBigPlanet 2 you can make the game freeze or severely lag by spawning enough junk all at once.

Only time I remember lagging in Gmod was when I tried to spawn a VERY large and highly detailed Battlecruiser model from Starcraft 2.

*edit*

Also for anyone who might not know yet, you can download a ton of ripped models to use in Gmod from here

http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/

The site hooks up directly to your Steam account when you register if I remember correctly.

That's basically all I've done.  I haven't played anything else really.  Usually objects don't cause as much lag as making things move by different forces such as pull, rope, muscle ect.
