This happened to my Gamecube about 7 years back with Sims: Bustin' Out. It's not the game's fault; it's the console's fault.

When it froze, did he yank out the power cord or something? :/ When all the freezing was happening I just stopped playing until it was patched. Haven't frozen since that last patch so I thought it was fixed.
BTW people on GFaqs were saying if it freezes, just eject disc and insert it again. Supposedly there's less strain on the HDD that way...

he hit the power button to turn it off and it just beeped never turned off so he unplugged cord from surge protector. Then did the whole find recent data or whatever the hell you have to load when it shuts off incorrectly and then bam broke.

When you have to "turn it off incorrectly" and then you turn it back on, it's a good idea to NOT say 'ok' to what it tells you when it starts. You're "supposed" to hit circle to cancel that. It like reformats your PS3 or some ****.

It's not like this is a common issue. Just saying. Freezing was an issue, yes, for the first week. That's it. They fixed it.
