Today, I was playing some local multiplayer with a friend and his son (3 player local splitscreen) and the WiiU was chucka chucking quite hard running all three of us, I actually commented on the lawnmower sounds, lol.

Yeah, when I was offered a 3 year warranty for $40 I figured it might be worth it considering it was a new system and all.

I passed, Pretty sure I can still get it, but for some reason $69 sticks in my head from BB.  Anybody else buy one from BB?

The Wii U itself should come with a 1 year warranty. Consoles usually do.

Knowing my luck it will last one week past warranty.  Is yours making any noise?  It sounds similar to my wii just before it took a dump.

My brother's Wii (from 2006) is incredibly loud when running, and it was for years, even during MoH:H2's earlier days.

I've heard this complaint from other people, but my system doesn't seem that loud at all.  Hearing noise from the optical drive is perfectly normal anyway.

Like this?

This was back in BO1, and BO2 seems to be the same way...that video was made when a lot of people were complaining about BO1 bricking their PS3s with the YLOD.

Yep, that's pretty much the same sound.

and Krazy, walmart told me 90 days with them, after that you had to send it off unless you bought the 3 yr plan

This is why the 360 doesn't have Blu-Ray. Smiley

The Wii U doesn't have it either. Unless you were just talking about the PS3.

That's either the store's return policy or their short warranty. When you buy a console new you get a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer, in this case Nintendo. If you still have the operations manual open it up and check page 54 under Hardware Warranty.

Knowing my luck it will last one week past warranty.  Is yours making any noise?  It sounds similar to my wii just before it took a dump.

I don't think that I hear the loud noise. I'll listen for it the next time I play.
