How do you wiiU owners think that it stacks up against the others as far as graphics and potential fps gameplay?

  Im probably going to go with a ps3 rather than buy the wii U after being left in the dark ages by the wii.

I didn't like the look of the WiiU but haven't bought one so can't really say  Undecided from what I read it just seems like they kind of caught up to the ps3 and Xbox rather than getting way ahead  Undecided

Graphically, the WiiU is ahead. In terms of games for fun, WiiU wins. Xbox has fps games, not many fun adventure games like Mario or Zelda, they have Call of Duty and Halo.
Remember though, nintendo is a family gaming company. They have games for **** gamers, and they've added more to the Wiiu than the Wii had. Remember GTA Chinatown on the DS?
Don't forget about Mario Kart and the Smash bros series either. Can't wait for those.

Im really only interested in fps and I have to be able to point at who Im shooting at. I wish that I had the option to play against only elite or move players (or whatever its called) no controllers, like the good ole days.

Just do what everyone else does, wait for the enemy. Atleast I dont sit in 1 spot, I tend to run point to point and wait for them to spawn in. im nothing on the xbox, atleast on the wii I go easy on everyone while using a shotgun.

@dadburns

As far as FPS games go there is one that's coming out in the future, Aliens: Colonial Marines (Multiplatform). I'm not sure of all the control types for that game though. But as far as control types are concerned that would be up to the developer if they want to add the Wii Remote & Nunchuk or any of the Wii's controllers as one of the control types. It would also depend on if the game heavily uses the Gamepad's features like ZombiU does.

Examples:
ZombiU (More survival like gameplay)- Gamepad is the main control scheme for single player. Gamepad, Wii U Pro Controller and Wii Remote & Nunchuk can be used for multiplayer. [Local]

Call of Duty Black Ops 2- Gamepad, Wii U Pro Controller, Wii Remote & Nunchuk and Classic Controller/Pro can be used.

007 Legends- Gamepad and Wii U Pro Controller can only be used.

Since there are more "M rated" games coming to the Wii U there's a chance it could get more multiplatform FPS games like Battlefield. We'll have to see if the developers put in Wii Remote support for their FPS games.

I wouldn't go for a Playstation unless you can find a really cheap used one that's still in good condition. PS3 is at the end of it's cycle and I've read convincing rumors (put forth by game developers themselves) that put the Sony and Microsoft boxes out by April of next year.

You might consider buying a PC for your gaming, especially if you only play FPS. You can decide for yourself how powerful you want to make it and tailor it to your own budget. Games will run a lot better on your PC and have more functionality than even the next gen PS360.

Also TKO, you probably wouldn't want to play Battlefield on a console, even if it's the Wii U with a little bit more power. That game is too large for a console to run correctly. Plus, if we're talking about BF3. analogs just don't cut it. If you haven't played it before, just trust me.
