Battlefield is mainly something I'd like to try out. Thanks for the advice though.

PS3 is at the end of it's cycle and I've read convincing rumors (put forth by game developers themselves) that put the Sony and Microsoft boxes out by April of next year.

Are you saying the PS3 and 360 will pretty much be done by that time or that Sony and Microsoft's next consoles will be released by that time?

I think they'll be coming out next April. The rumor does have some weight to it but it's still a rumor though.

Well they'll have to show them sometime next month or so because they haven't been officially revealed yet. But honestly I don't really see them releasing their next consoles until near the holiday season next year. They have to build up some sort of hype at E3.

I probably should wait it out to see if wiiU steps it up and makes fps games like everyone else does. The only real allure to the ps3 was the move option and Im not sure what games support it. It would be my luck to drop a couple hundred bucks on one a week before its obsolite.
My oldest son built a great game pc off of new egg for around 550-600 bucks but Id still be lost without my wiimote.
Its a cruel damn world. MoH has ruined my life.

Eh, I'd probably try and get used to different input methods. I think few devs these days see motion controls are much more than a gimmick. It wouldn't surprise me if there are even fewer motion control games next gen, especially shooters. The core shooter audience wanted to stick with analogs this round on console and I don't really see that changing.

There weren't too many MOVE games on PS3 and even fewer FPS Move games.

Hey, check this video out. It's a bit long but it's very informative. At the very least watch the beginning intro where he explains the purpose of the video and then towards the end when he's showcasing all the games.

What really spoke to me is when he played BF3 at 60 frames per second. Battlefield 3, if you didn't know, is probably the most graphically intensive game on the PC platform. Now this PC is by no means the cream of the crop but it's still impressive because his build is about the same price as a PS3 yet will play BF3 at a higher resolution and even if the settings are set at low or near low, it will still look and more importantly perform better than the same game on the PS3.

I love the accent.  If I ever have the time to figure out computers more than I currently do, I may become a PC gamer.

I've been watching tutorials online. It looks a lot more simple than I thought it'd be since you just have to connect everything to the motherboard. It's all labeled anyway. I think the harderst part would be the software since you could hook everything up perfectly but the software can still find a way to mess up.

The move controller is awesome, but there really aren't many fps games to use it with. There is a new game called CS:GO (Counter Strike: Global Offensive) that supports the move controller and it is a lot like moh was in terms of pick up and play fun. But, I don't think its worth it to invest the cash to get a ps3 and the camera/move controller to play a 10 dollar game. The move is superior to the WiiMote, but there just aren't any games out there that will ever compare to moh. :(

I love my ps3 though. I use it every day even though I don't play games near as much as I used to. Is a great machine for streaming movies/shows, playing music, blu_ray, etc...

I prefer the wiimote to the move... I think the move sucks  Undecided I have that fans and just didn't find it felt the same  Undecided I still like my PS3 though...especially now that it works after four months of not working and I didn't have to pay to get it repaired  Cheesy the kids just got an Xbox and like it but I don't really have any games for it....didn't even play it yet  Undecided

I preferred the WiiMote too. I just meant the move is technically better. Its a pain in the ass to set up every time you play though. The WiiMote was much better for pick up and play.

It was pretty easy to put my sons pc together although he went a little over on his power and graphics.
When ps4 comes out, will you be able to play ps3 games online with it. I may just try to highjack my youngests ps3 for a while. I was kind of trying to get one so we could play together.
oh yeah. What kind of set up is involved for the camera? I thought that you would just leave it on top of the tv like. the wii sensor

I've never had a ps3360 so I can't really compare them.  I really love the Wii U though.  If you've sat around playing fps on the Wii (like me Tongue) and continued playing because you like the "point and shoot" aspect but just wished it had HD graphics then you will like the WU.  The Miiverse feature is pretty cool and they just added the TVii feature which is pretty cool too.  Surfs the net faster than my pc and it's kinda cool that you can keep surfing the net on the pad and watch tv on the tv.

Yeah, the camera is set up on the top or bottom of the TV like the Wii sensor.

You can also use it as a computer webcam. Its got a mic built in too.
