What do you think is the most physically and mentally demanding sport (apart from fighting/boxing)?

For me, its tennis. It requires total body, both upper and lower, stamina and mental toughness plus the level of the competition makes it the most physical sport for me.

Swimming... It uses like every muscle in your body.

Lol you guys said each one I was going to say.

My third choice would be track of some sort, I'm not sure what I think is more demanding of it though, sprinting, long-distance, or middle-distance.

also maybe swimming will get you fit but lets be honest here you don't have to be fit to do it, thats why grannies are always doing granny workouts in a pool because everything you do in a pool is easy, as far as a sport that you need to be super fit to do i'd imagine doing the baja 500 on a motorbike has to be tough on the body

You've got to be kidding me. You do have to be fit to be a good swimmer or at least swim anything over 50 meters, if that.

Riding a dirt bike is not nearly as hard as swimming, which is why Water Polo is the hardest sport no contest. It's just a combination of two of the sports you have to be the most fit to play, soccer and swimming.

water polo has to be pretty tough IO agree with that, treading water that long is one thing but try treading water while holding your arms in the air

My life guarding class was probably one of the toughest things I have ever done  Cry we had to tread water with our hands above our head while holding a brick :/ we also had to swim 750 meters everyday for a month and also the deep water saves were insanely hard..
