Lacrosse. You have to be built like a WR/CB(for middie), or a Safety(attack), or LB(defense) and run like a soccer player. Not to mention getting slapped with a large metal pole for 60 minutes.

Oh hell, and I even forgot the "mentally challenging" part. Try playing goalie in lacrosse. You have to be a masochistic twisted fuck to play goalie. With how little padding you wear(literally the only reason any of us wore chest protectors was so we wouldn't die from taking a shot to the heart. And I mean that literally, people have died taking shots to the heart in the game before, and I'm not talking back in the day, a Cornell defenseman had his heart stopped back in 03 or 02 from a shot. Its one of the major reasons defibrilators are on site at all organized sporting events anymore). Pain is a good thing as a goalie, it means you stopped the ball. My legs don't even bruise anymore from playing for so many years. I just get welts if its hard enough. Not to mention I still walk with a slight limp from **** up my knee so many times. And the best/worst part is you learn all this from a young age. In sixth grade I remember playing a preseason game and taking 4 shots to my knee total, 3 to the same exact spot, and literally not being able to stop crying from the pain(just flowing tears, **** would not stop) and refusing to let my coach take me out of the game. I don't remember anything else being as painful as that, not even dislocating my kneecap, and my knee literally gave out when that happened.

Oh, and the mental ability to sit there and allow yourself to get beat with a six foot long metal pole.

Fuckin DAve.  Cheesy

Yeah, I'd probably agree with some kind of water sport. Swimming by itself isn't hard to do but not anyone can do it competitively. Then you gotta make sure and keep everything timed just right because moving your body around like that takes a lot of energy and oxygen and you can't really breathe under water.

I dunno whatever.

No idea, but I've done my share of track & field training/running, and I can say that it is very physically and mentally demanding.

I did cross country for 2 years in high school, and while I sucked at it, it was still tough to keep running to try and get the fastest 5k time possible. I have great respect for distance runners. The running events in track are much more simple than other sports, but that doesn't make them easier. All you have to worry about is running as fast as you can as opposed to ball handling and other tactics, but if you want to be the best, you have to push yourself to hell and back.

im going to say football players. well certain positions im not going to say lineman cause they basically have to be fat to do their job. but running backs and wrs, they are crazy fit. Adrian Peterson is like 220 pounds and like 6 percent body fat do you even know how hard that is holy ****. they have to be ultra fast have the speed quick moves etc and have to be ultra strong and squat and bench crazy numbers. basically a bodybuilder with lighting speed to me that is more impressive then any world class sprinter or swimmer or anything like that.
