Here you can post about what types of games you like to play and what consoles (or PC) you own or would like to own and other members can suggest games for you to try on those platforms. It's to try to get more gaming discussion going on here and an idea that I had for a little bit. So for example, lets say you're mainly a PC gamer but you also have or you're interested in a 3DS. The type of games that you like are "point and click" games. Then someone could suggest the Ace Attorney or the Shin Megami Tensei games. If you get what I'm talking about and your interested, feel free to use the topic.

Shin Megami Tensei is not so much a point and click adventure but more along the lines of a classic dungeon crawl, but minus everything bad about that and double everything that is good.
SMT is awesome.
Ask me about shmups I know (almost) everything and will know more soon.

If you're here to ask or to give any game suggestions then sure. I'm a CoD player but I play more than that game.
@Squire My bad about SMT, I was actually thinking of another game when I typed that.
I'm also not too fond of those "one word" chatbox like posts.

@Kreator: Easy mistake to make since a lot of SMT games are from a first person perspective anyway
@Autumn: I have two.
Destroy All Humans 2 on the Ps2
Not as much to do as some sand box games, but makes up for it with some really fun sci-fi weapons and action. A lot of the weapons in the game are just designed to be fun, from boosting around on your jetpack to making cars lose their gravity and ricochet off walls with the Dislocator Gun. It's pretty light hearted too, don't expect the title to be played dramatically since both the aliens and humans talk and act like South Park characters.
Saints Row 3 on every console ( I think) and Ps3:
Fun game. Doesn't take itself seriously at all, and is actually pretty funny. Tons of stuff to do and great fun with the online co-op multiplayer campaign. Highly recommended.

If we're taking "like GTA" to mean "exactly like GTA but set in the Old West" then the obvious answer would be Red Dead Redemption (if you haven't played it already).

Lol I used to have Destroy all humans 2... I only played the first level though... Could never get past it. If we're taking "like GTA" to mean "exactly like GTA but set in the Old West" then the obvious answer would be Red Dead Redemption (if you haven't played it already).
Yeah I have Red Dead... I was meaning more like long campaign wise, that isn't war related.

It can get pretty hard at times. I remember there was one escort stage in England that took me forever. You shouldn't hesitate to try out games you found impossible in the past. It's easy to underestimate how much more skilled you become as you grow older. Just last night I went back to a game that massacred me 6 years ago, and beat it on my first try.

@Kreator: Easy mistake @Kreator ^That is all. Also, I couldn't really give any long story driven game suggestions for the PS3 since I don't own one or study its library. Though if you can find it, you could look up some videos for Tales of Graces F. It's an action rpg of sorts when you come in contact with an enemy. I suggest it since I've played some other "Tales of" games and liked those.

lol k names
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are both good recommendations for action rpg's on ps3.
On Steam, Ys: Origin and Ys: Oath in Felghana are really good. I also want to play Wanderlust, but haven't had time yet.
The Ys games are basically top down hack and slashes, sort of like Legend of Zelda. Except you can jump and combo and stuff. Very fast paced, combat focused, and fun. Excuse plots but most of the characters are really likable, and the whole thing is pretty charming.
