Yep, exactly right. It wouldn't be as bad if it ran at 60 fps since movement/mechanical performace is probably more desirable than visual performance, but that'd be in reference to PS3 and 360. I really would expect PS4 to be fully 1080p/60 out of the gate.

One thing that keeps me hopeful is that it sounds like it's going to be a really technically intensive game. That would mean that you'd need like a 7970 or something to really run it at it's highest. Medium level cards couldn't hand it on max and keep a high framerate. I doubt they'd make a game that only people with the high end stuff could run well and sell like 100,000 copies. Hopefully they'd also allow consoles to turn off certain things like AA which I think taxes the gpu like nothing else. Maybe turn down weather effect resolution and stuff like that down too. I'd happily turn things on low to afford more frames/sec.

I guess I'm going to have to wait until the end of the month when they finally present the game publicly and maybe give out a little bit of concrete information. For all I know 1080p/60 will be doable.
