^I thought you and Turbo had seen those videos by now. I think it's going to be amazing. I liked the part about the waves actually being a dynamic feature in multiplayer matches. If I see a wave, everyone sees that exact same wave and it effects your firefight. Also the "wind" feature and how they don't animate trees individually anymore. This Battlelog interface with tablets and mobile devices is awesome.
I thought this was pretty neat too. It'd be very useful to have a large map on a second screen

If I see a wave, everyone sees that exact same wave and it effects your firefight. Which is awesome. Adds some variables you can't control for into a battle, which requires quick thinking for squad-based combat. Also the "wind" feature and how they don't animate trees individually anymore. Which should probably cut down on resources needed for that animation.

I'm hoping the DLC isn't going to tear a hole in my wallet.

I really hate that. I don't plan on buying DLC at all, but I know others will so I'll probably miss out on playing with them.

I haven't really been keeping up with bf4, just because the console version of bf3 really disappointed me, and the destructibility was a complete joke. That video changed my mind, but I'll wait till I see some review gameplay before I pick it up. BF3 had a really big 'DESTROY EVERYTHING' campaign, after all.

I'm really split about it. To me, Premium wasn't worth it and it was divisive for the community. BF3 I ended up liking a bit but it still have multiple issues in various areas. They seem to have fixed a whole ton of our complaints based on the multiplayer footage that I've seen. I would like to think they'd fix the issues with Premium and DLC as well, but I'm still very wary about it all. At present, I have no plans about preordering BF4 or even purchasing Premium membership. ^I thought you and Turbo had seen those videos by now. I think it's going to be amazing. Still, it was quite useful to be able to drop ruble onto people hiding in various corners and getting several kills at once. They said BF4 will be going back to BC2 levels of destruction but I still have to see it before I'm convinced.

They said BF4 will be going back to BC2 levels of destruction but I still have to see it before I'm convinced. This is really the most important feature for me. If I can't destroy buildings I don't want to play it. It really does spoil you though, because that's the standard you start comparing other games to.

I hope the "BC2 destruction" isn't just for the Campaign. I know that one building collapsed in the MP alpha footage but other than that, I didn't see much in terms of destruction. There was a point where a Viper was shooting rockets at a billboard and it didn't even destroy it. :/
As for Premium, it all depends on the type of player you are. If you KNOW you'll be playing BF4 for 1-2 years, then it's a wise investment in the long run because at the very least you get everything $10-15 cheaper. If you're the type that knows you'll trade in the game or stop playing after 2 months, then it's probably better to pick and choose which DLC you want.
When BF3 Premium dropped they said it was a one-time fee. I'm crossing my fingers that they meant it's for ALL BF games and not just BF3 lol. But I know money talks and EA will most likely force them into making it a yearly subscription like CoDElite. Speaking of which, I compared CoDElite to Premium and you get much more in-game content for your money with Premium. More vehicles, more guns, more challenges, more dogtags, more maps, and more modes. CoDelite is/was just map packs with 1 new gun.
And I believe CoDElite subscribers had to repurchase it after the year was up. So while I spent ~$45 for Premium, CoD players had to spend nearly triple that(@ $120) just to keep their subscription going.

I didn't have a problem with the Premium fee of $50. Of course I would have like to pay less, but Bf3 is the last game I have purchased and still about the only game I play. So, for me, I've spent $100 on gaming since October of 2011, pretty cheap IMO. And, while I haven't enjoyed Bf3 as much as I had hoped, with premium/DLC think about all you got with it. There are so many maps and game modes it's ridiculous, unless you play non-stop as I did with BC2. I really haven't had a chance or wanted to try all the stuff with the DLC packs. I still pretty much play TDM on the original maps.
As for Bf4, I'm sure I'll get it but I've been trying not to play during the work week but I sure am making it up this summer.
