Definitly should have rented/ not bought this lol. Damn no return policy on games. This is probably the worst quality software I have ever bought. Hopefully there will be a huge patch/ update extremely soon, and even if there is, still probably wont help much.

Is this the game/tv show thing? I heard it was pretty rough around the edges and stuff but that it had some pretty neat gameplay aspects.

I figured it could go either way. Shame. The latest trailer was pretty neat.

All I know about it is that the "cover" art really bothers me: What is up with that chick's face? I can't tell if she's got a look of smug confidence or if she's constipated.

This game is so random. I didn't know it existed until it existed. Absolutely no advertising or press about it.

I only found out about it when I saw the small ads on GameFAQs and stuff like that. They do have commericals for it but I only see them if I'm streaming Monday Night Raw (don't have cable). About "the chick's" face, it looks off center to me.

I knew about for a few weeks, but most games i know about years/ months in advance at least. The advertising has been pretty in your face, but only for like a week before it came out. So i agree with it seeming random.
That being said, it is extremely rough around the edges. Kind of like minecraft, once you get into the heart of it, you don't have a clue how to do some things, and nothing whatsoever is explained lol.
Anywho, after two days of play, this game is fun as ****. It sucks no one on my friends list plays, and you can't pick a server. After the first 24 hours, they put more servers in place, so for the most part the games are honestly 100% less laggy.
The "Ark Falls", which are the games version of hundred some person raiding, are laggy, especially compared to PC MMO's. I guess this should be/ is expected though. Dont know how much better it is on PC.
Extremely fun though, if you dont play MMO's because your play console, this might be something your interested in. If your experienced in MMO's, you probably play PC so you probably have played better. I dont know what to say about recommending though, because if you try it out, you'll probably return it ( like I tried too ) before you actually get to the good fun, or get turned away by the bugs ( didn't this have multiple alpha/ beta runs? ).

is it on steam? how much does it cost and what are the system requirements? I'm pretty sure my **** PC can't run it anyway, haha.
yeah i was kinda surprised by your first post. i've been hearing a lot of the same kinds of things you've been writing. that it's pretty rough but you get these pretty awesome moments where all the players come together to take on some huge ass monsters. seen a video of it and it's like, as soon as they come out everyone drops what they're doing and shiet get's pretty real.

Haha Ark falls were cool at first, they have to patch it because they dont drop loot at the end like they are supposed too.
When an arkfall happens, you'll see the big red notice on your radar, if your the first person there, within a minute just about everyone else on the server will be there lol. Its not so epic now that people have figured out the loot bug. My first arkfall was ridiculous, there had to have been well over 100 people fighting these huge bugs, the lag was hilarious but it wasn't even hindering the fun because it just seemed so epic, theres stuff flying everywhere, theres dodge challangers and ATV's everywhere, it was a lot of fun. And after the bugs are destroyed in that spot, immediately everyone whether it be twenty people or 100, all hop in there cars and peace out lol.

lmao, sounds like a flash mob. i'm gonna look into it.
also i read you can spawn those atv's anywhere you're at. i kinda like that since a lot of games with huge worlds have you running all over the place. plus they're always just fun as **** to drive around anyway

Yeah you can spawn your vehicle wherever, whenever, its great. Your getting some heat, throw your dodge challenger up, spawns a little in front of you, hop in and go.
Also, I didn't know until i was just reading the defiance forums that this is cross-platform. Which explains a lot of the lag. You have to give them credit for being ambitious lol they're trying.
Servers are down for maintenance right now though, which sucks, now I have to listen to my gf watch nancy grace/ dr dru/ whoever else talks about the jodi arias trial at this hour.
