Have something saved to my Time Warner DVR that I would like to copy and burn to disc or save to cloud. What would be the best or cheapest way to accomplish this task? You peeps have helped me out with this technical stuff in the past so thank you in advance.

One easy way to get it to disc is if you have a DVD player/burner and then you can just put it inline with the output from your DVR. I've done that many times. Otherwise, not sure how easy it is to access the particular file and copy it

Yeah, that's exactly what you can buy. I have a Sony, but the same type of device.
If you want to put it on a computer, the only way I can think of is if you use a capture card/device. The same thing you can use for recording games and stuff. I don't know much about the time Warner dvr though....so unless someone comes up with a better plan, I'd go with the DVD recorder or a capture card. I think the DVD recorder works better though for longer videos because you need a high quality aka expensive card if you want to keep audio and video in sync.
Hopefully someone else will comment though...I'm not an expert

I've tried using my cap card to record netflix and it didn't let me. I wanna say something popped up like copyright infringement, anyway I remember nextflix specifically not playing videos and a message on screen said something device detected, playback unavailable.
I have time warner cable also, tell you what I'll try and record some tv when I get home ( If i dont forget ). I want to say I've tried it and it didn't work, but I cant say for sure.
