So due to the fact that I donated and pre-ordered a certain game, it now comes to my attention that I'm also getting a free steam key as a bonus to one of my favorite games that I already own. http://steamcommunity.com/id/PURESEXCELLENCY/recommended/203990The game is really fun, and has sprite based 2d graphics that should run fairly well on your average toaster. I have several friends who might want it, so I'm thinking of having some kind of contest to decide who to give it to. I'm thinking like a fighting game tournament, or maybe a scoring contest for some old game that can be played for free via emulation. Would anyone be interested in competing?

??? I pre-ordered a game, and as a bonus got a game I already own. I would like to give it away to friends. Thinking for fun I'd hold a contest and give it to the winner. I'm thinking the contest will either be a fighting game tournament, or a scoring contest for some old arcade game. What part do you not understand?

My guess would be she's not familiar with Steam/Steam keys, didn't interpret the toaster comment as a joke, isn't familiar with the phrase "sprite based 2d", and she isn't sure what emulation is.
If I'm wrong I'm going to seem like an ass.

Yeah I figured something like that. Steam is a service for buying games for your computer. The steam key is just a password that you can enter in that lets you download the game. What I meant by the toaster is that even if your computer is really crappy, it should play the game fine. "Sprite based 2d" means the game is based on 2d drawings called "sprites" like this Rather then 3d animation. Emulators are just programs that allow you to play old video games on your computer (like the super nes and whatnot). Hope that cleared it up? I'd be happy to answer any other questions.

Lol... Pretty much everything turbo said.
That's cool, i haven't played games on the computer since like 2000. There was this one game i used to play, but i don't remember what it was called. I think it was "chips" or something like that. all i remember was that you had to collect different boots (fire, water, etc...) It was the funnest game ever. I'd like to play that again. I also played command and conquer, but i don't remember which one.
All i have is my laptop which I'm sure is full of viruses bc i only use it for school notes and getting movies and tv shows from the pirate bay lol

Got any virus protection software? You could always run a quick scan to see how bad things are.

For fighting games.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Vampire Savior
These can be played for free if we emulate. Otherwise,
Skullgirls Marvel Vs Capcom 2
But only if everyone who joins has these games (which I doubt will happen)
For Shmups, I'm toying with it but.
some game in the Gradius series. Rayforce Dodonpachi Esp Galuda
