Alright, so I've got a number of Steam keys for games I already own, and to decide who I give them away to, I'm gonna make you guys play a good old game about immersion, excitement, and hype.
All you need to enter, is a Steam account. Post that if you're in.
The game in question is...
Rayforce!!

PRIZES *edit* strange, spoilers are all messed up. Looking through this in modify mode, I couldn't find any misplaced spoiler tags, so I copy and pasted it into another forum and it showed up the way its supposed to. It also shows up normally in preview mode on this forum. In summation, NICE FORUM
But yeah, click dis shiz to see all the rules and emulator download links and ****. Hopefully this won't suddenly just fix itself tomorrow leaving me looking like an idiot here GG WP
STUFF[spoiler]
Satazius - Costs 5.99 on Steam
Frozen Synapse - Costs 24.99 on Steam. The game actually probably would cost less, if they didn't bundle it 3 at a time. But that's the only way to get it if your buying.
The Basement Collection - Costs 3.99 on Steam
Dota 2 - Costs 29.99 on Steam. Actually pretty easy to obtain though due to how Valve gives away free keys like candy.
Serious Sam: The Random Encounter - Costs 4.99 on Steam.
Do with them what you will. Install them and play them, or hold on to them and try to trade them for something else on Steam. Do as you will chosen ones!
I might have other prizes as well, I'm currently going through some of my old Steam Keys trying to figure out which ones I used and which ones I had already acquired through sales before obtaining the keys.

HOW TO PLAY THE ARCADE ORIGINAL ON YOUR PC[spoiler]Anyone can play this game easily with an emulator. An emulator is a program that "emulates" old gaming systems and allows you to play copies of the games data known as "roms".
Click here for the emulator, with the game rom already in tow. Pretty much everything has been done for you in advance. Here's some instructions on running the emulator, setting controls, and taking screenshots. It's easy.
1: download the RAR file from the link above, and right click it once its done downloading. You should see something like "extract to..." among the options that appear. Click that to extract it to a folder.
2: enter the folder, and click the Mame.exe file. This will launch the emulator. To launch the game, press enter with "Gunlock" highlighted in the main menu (it should default to it being highlighted). It'll go through some random info on the game, press any key to go past it, then the game should start.
3: To set controls, press tab once the game is running. Use the arrow keys to navigate down to "input for this game", and press enter. In the menu that then pops up, scroll through the 1 player controls list with the arrow keys. To change one of them, press enter while it is highlighted, then press the button you wish to have that action assigned to on your keyboard/controller/etc. (note that this is fully compatible with any gamepad you might have hooked up to your pc. If you're having trouble with that, ask me.)
4: You will need to take a screenshot to prove your victory in this contest. I have set the default button for that emulator to the PRT SC key. If you wish to change it, go to the main tab menu (the one from which you accessed the "input for this game" menu) and enter "general input". Navigate through with the arrow key till you see the screenshot action, and assign to it the key or button you wish the same as you did for controls in step 3.
5: Press tab again to exit the emulator menu.
6: Since this is an arcade game, you will need to enter a (virtual) coin to play. Simply press the 5 key on your keyboard. This is the default "coin inserted" key on the emulator, then press 1 on your keyboard, as this is the default "start game" button on your emulator.
Note: All screenshots taken will default to being stored in the "snap" folder.

RULES OF THE CONTEST:[spoiler]
Whoever submits the highest score by the end of Thank you. wins the prizes. You may submit multiple scores, charting your progress, and only the highest score submitted before the end of the deadline will be counted as your score.
The game will be played on default settings, with no continues. Once you get game over, you MUST restart the game (though why you would want to continue at that point anyway I don't know, since you'd be severely gimping your score).
Your score will not be considered valid or counted unless your provide a screenshot to prove it. Simply take the screenshot at any point during gameplay that displays the high score counter, or simply take one of the in game score board after you play. It doesn't matter, just as long as you take a screenshot in which I can see the high score of that play session, which you are reporting.

GAME INFO:Background
[spoiler]Rayforce is a beloved 2d scrolling shooter released for arcades in 1994 by the legendary Japanese developer, Taito. The game is a part of a trilogy of three games, all with "RAY" somewhere in their title. The first installment though, Rayforce, is considered to be the best game in the series and perhaps one of the greatest shooters ever made.
The game is notable for its intense gameplay, fun level and boss design, creative scoring system based on destroying multiple enemies at once with your powerful lock on laser, and its beautiful atmosphere and soundtrack.
[/spoiler]
Plot
[spoiler]In the distant future, humans created an incredibly powerful super computer known as "Con-Human". The purpose of this computer is to govern the planet's environmental systems, verifying proper nutrients and care is provided to ensure the culture of humans and animal alike. At first, this seem perfect, as the world enters a new era of prosperity and beauty. However, when scientists attempt to further the power of Con-Human by merging it with a human beings consciousness, Con-Human develops sentience and goes berserk. It begins to induce calamities across the planet, constructing corrupt clones of existing organisms, destroying its human masters and exterminating the nature it was intended to protect, apparently intending to replace everything and everyone with what Con-Human considers improved versions of themselves.
Con-Human manages to destroy 99.8% of humanity, but thanks to the efforts of a brilliant hacker, he/she/it is stalled long enough for the remaining humans to escape to space/planetary colonies off-world. Con-Human begins to remake the very interior of the Earth, turning it into a mobile space fortress with its own brain as the core, and begins its crusade to erase all existing life in the universe. Vastly outnumbered and outgunned by the superior military efficiency of Con-Human, humanity mounts a desperate last stand, sending ALL of its remaining military and weapons, along with a new experimental fighter, known as the X-LAY, piloted by a female ace pilot (that's you btw), to confront Con-Human and begin Operation Rayforce: Destroy the Earth.

Gameplay
[spoiler]Rayforce is a vertically scrolling shooter, similar to Raiden, Gradius, Ikaragua, etc. The screen scrolls automatically as the player shoots and dodges the attacks of various enemies and boss monsters, working his or her way through each of the stages to ultimately confront the final boss.
Besides basic movement which is precise, the player has two buttons. Pressing or holding down the first fires your primary gun, which can destroy enemies on the same plane as your ship. This gun can be powered up by collecting red and yellow crystals. 3 red crystals or 1 yellow crystal will power up the gun by one level.
The second button fires your homing laser. Targeting cross hairs are positioned in front of your ship at all times and move automatically with your ship. moving the the cross hairs over enemies locks on to them, and pressing the second button fires your immensely powerful homing laser. You can only lock on to enemies in the foreground, so this weapon must be used to destroy ground enemies or weak points on a lower level then your ship. In addition, you can lock on to multiple enemies at once, and the score awarded for enemies destroyed will be multiplied for every enemy you destroy in one button press. So for example, if you lock on to 6 enemy fighters at once, and then destroy them all with one shot, the total score awarded for destroying them will be multiplied by all 6. Thus, using your homing weapon with finesse is key to scoring high.
You must balance offense and defense, risk and reward, in order to survive in this game. Staying far away will give you more reaction time to deal with enemy attacks. However, without the added fire power of your homing laser, they will be able to swarm you in greater number. On other hand, staying close constantly will allow you to lock on to many enemies and destroy them quickly, but will give you less reaction time in dealing with their attacks. Using the lock on to destroy multiple enemies at once will give you a vastly larger score, but it also requires greater skill, as you will be required to leave enemies alive (thus free to attack you) as you attempt to gain the maximum number of lock on's before firing.[/spoiler]
ENTRY AND SCORE SUBMISSION[spoiler]To enter, just post a link to your Steam profile so that I know it exists, and know where to send the prizes.
To enter your scores, post the number, and post a picture of your screenshot proof of the score. You can attach it as a file, upload it to imgur, or link to it. But if you display it in between IMG tags here, make sure you also enclose that in spoiler tags so the thread doesn't become too cluttered. I won't penalize anyone for not using spoiler tags, but I would advise against leaving them out if you post the full image lol.
Also, I encourage everyone to post all the high scores and personal bests that you manage, so that others can see what they are up against. I would advise against waiting till the last day to post a score lol. More fun this way.
Oh, and one more thing. If your score is under 1,000,000 points, make sure you take a screenshot showing your score at your time of death. The reason for this is that 1,000,000 is the default high score that the arcade machine boots up with, and if you don't beat this, this will always be what is displayed in the high score counter at the top of the screen. I was considering saying "no scores under 1,000,000", but I don't wanna discourage anybody, so just keep that in mind. Otherwise it shouldn't be a problem, since you can easily break 1,000,000 by the end of the second stage.[/spoiler]
INSTALLING PRIZES[spoiler]One of the games (Frozen Synapse) is already activated on Steam, so you'll simply receive that on your account as a gift (which you can then install like any other Steam game).
The rest of the games are in the form of keys, which I'll pm to you on Steam or here. To install the game via key, you simply go to your game library in Steam, click "+ Add a game" in the bottom left corner, click the second option "Activate a product on Steam", then follow their instructions (agree to terms of service, copy and paste the code into the box, install, etc.)
Note that I haven't tested these Steam keys, for fear of accidentally activating them on my account and thus not being able to give them away, but they all SHOULD work. And Frozen Synapse at least is guaranteed.[/spoiler]
If you have any questions about anything, any problems, or need help getting anything to work, please let me know. I'll do my best to help you out.
