This has been a pretty bad day for me considering it was the launch day for the best game this year.

So, I preordered a physical copy of The Last of Us so that I could play it early today, assuming that the PS store would update late and the download would take forever. I also didn't want to take up 26GB of bandwidth on my internet limit.

I got it home and played it nonstop for a few hours, learned about a bad saving glitch and assumed I'd be fine. Nope. It happened to me, and I decided I would just beat the game without turning the game off ever, so that I didn't have to start over. A few hours later (I had about 5-6 hours of game time by then) I decided to just try to reset the game and hope the autosave saved somewhere recently, instead of getting to the end of the game and then finding out it never saved anything and I don't get to do New Game + after turning the game off/on.

Of course, it put me back to half and hour in. I lost about 5 hours of gameplay. So basically, the main reason I got a physical copy was now a waste of time, I would have been playing the digital copy already anyways since it's only taking a few hours to download.

Yuck. I guess I can find a few silver linings, I now have the digital copy downloading and my girlfriend can play it. I also got a few preorder bonuses and got the artbook to give to my friend cause he didn't end up getting it. I'm also lucky cause I returned the physical copy for only $1 less than I paid for it because of EB Games' deal.

Still, I will now be completely starting over at like 10 at night, so it feels like I wasted an entire day.

Damn, son.... why would you assume it would be fixed? I quit the game after 2 hours because I figured I'd have to download a new patch or something.

No big deal. I was only upset til I got back to where I was. Beat it last night and I hate the ending. Otherwise, 10/10 for sure.  Tongue
