Anyone planning on getting this?  I'm going to get it for PC, I think I might end up playing it with a controller though.

Pre-Order on steam, save 5 bucks and get some prequel mission for free, and if enough people keep pre-ordering you'll also get a copy of Spec-Ops.  If we make it to level 3 pre-ordering, we'll all get the XCOM collection.

It's a sci-fi strategy game, kind of like Age of Empires I think (but obviously with a different setting).

XCOM game were made by Sid Meier, so normally they were top quality RTS.

That being said XCOM declassified is more of a spin-off.  Its a prequel set in the XCOM universe, but is going to play more like ( a lot like actually ), mass effect 2 and 3.  Its going to be a squad based tactical third person shooter.  There is going to be permadeath and other stuff too.

Well it's RTS, meaning Real Time Strategy.  So it's not turn-based.  Think Starcraft or Age of Empires, where you have to micromanage unit movements while getting new buildings/creating new units.

Well it's not necessarily harder, it's just different.  Requires a lot of quick thinking.

For Console its going to have a roulette wheel thing, like mass effect, dishonored, umm im trying to think of some other games that have a similar interface.  Say your shooting at people while moving to cover, you get into cover ( while controlling a single player ), pull up your power wheel, and you can choose idk turret gun, thunderbolt, mind ****,  that sort of thing.  It almost stops time completely but not quite, just slows it down a ton. With time slowed down you can order your men around and tell them what to do.  Ill have to check if you can swap between which players you control, idk off the top of my head.

For PC its going to be the same thing, but no roulette wheel, just your power bar 1-9.  I believe for PC you can have an option though, if you plug in a controller to play with instead of keyboard and mouse you can use the roulette style.
