Id consider if if upgrading my build wouldn't add too much.  I assume 4th gen i5's will be fine for what we're going to use them for, for at least a few years.  I'll look at a few more, If its going to add too much to what I plan on spending for a build ill stick with an i5, even though it will be more expensive in the long run.  They start out now around 300 dollars.  I think upgrading on cyberpowerpc to an i7 from what I have now for an i5 is around 80 dollars more, which definitely isn't bad.

Is that what you use for a CPU btw?  I really dont think I know anyone who has an i7 yet.

I made sure the cases I looked at had plenty of room for expansion too, make sure you do that also LT.

What do you do for work?

Oh yeah I forgot to mention the warranties, cyberpower gives you a 3 year limited parts and labor, you might want to look at the warranty on new egg or toms hardware and compare them.  If your going to overclock it, get an additional plan that will cover it, whether it be through the merchant or through intel or whoever themselves.

Hey man, I see you posted a metric fawkton of info there. I'm going to reply to it all tomorrow because I'm about to hit the sack right now. I just didn't have much time to show up earlier and post a lot. I actually got some guy on the internet to help me setup another build that is a little cheaper. It's got an AMD graphics card though. the parts don't look bad but I think I might want to get a better AMD card than the one he picked out. I'll post those specs and check out all the stuff you posted tomorrow in the afternoon.

Also, I'd rather buy something powerful and not overclock or get it OC'd from factory. I'm really not that good with PC's, though I do think I can put one together with help from online guids. I hear it's stupid-easy to OC but...I dunno man. Let me know wha tyou think. Thanks a lot man.

Google some benchmarks or comparisons of cards if you wanna see how they measure up, the builds I put together look like they get more bang for their buck out of nvidia cards, but look into it and see.

And hey no problem btw, I'm trying to look into some more pc components and builds for me too, couldn't hurt to have more people with the same goals in mind.

I ordered mine LT, its the same build I had except I didn't go with the SSD, just the HD for now.  May end up getting one later, made sure I had plenty of room for upgrades.  I did end up getting a little more expensive case though, and got the Core i5-4670K, in case I want to overclock.  Hows your search going man?

this is another build that a guy on Battlelog made for me. It's AMD parts. I've read more about nVidia parts so if anyone here can let me know if it's a pretty solid build, thank you. The graphics card comes with 3 free games so it has a lot of value. Also, he said the card is really easy to overclock and I'll be doing that since I want to get as close to the GTX 760 performance numbers as I can.

lOOKS like I'm going with this build. It's cheaper and it meets or exceeds the BF4 recommended specs which just came out today.

The following are the minimum system requirements to be able to run Battlefield 4:

OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit
Processor (AMD): Athlon X2 2.8 GHz
Processor (Intel): Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
Memory: 4 GB
Hard Drive: 30 GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon 3870
Graphics card (NVIDIA): Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
Graphics memory: 512 MB

These are the recommended system requirements for Battlefield 4:

OS: Windows 8 64-bit
Processor (AMD): Six-core CPU
Processor (Intel): Quad-core CPU
Memory: 8 GB
Hard Drive: 30 GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon 7870
Graphics card (Nvidia): NVIDIA GeForce GT 660
Graphics memory: 3 GB

Hey LT, I don't think your power supply is big enough  Undecided Pretty sure they recommend at least a 600W if you get that video card and I'd probably go with a 650W. I did a quick config on the site that Oce was using and it looks like you need at least 570W  Undecided

EDIT: The recommended power for that card is minimum of 500W, so 550W might be enough....I did some Internet searches and it sounds like other people have 500W or 550W. I just suggest that you do some digging on your exact setup and the power requirements because it depends on the other components you have (motherboard, CPU, memory, HDD, additional cards). Once you hang some USB devices (ipods and stuff) off of it there will be more power draw too. You just don't want to run out of power because it'll **** you up  Undecided
