Just a heads up, I'll skip the long story of how I figured it out and confirmed but: The support class (ammo guy) with the c4 and offensive field upgrade will freeze when you spawn into the game. There might be more to it than that, but as long as I don't put both of those as my set up, I'm fine.

GH, rate this for me cause I'm on the fence after the disappointment of BF3. All I care about is if the controls are crisp and not "floaty" like BF3.

I am really enjoying it, not even close to Bf3 IMO. I played a lot of Bf3 just because.
I'm not one to get into the technical side, but as for the fun side I am having much more fun with Bf4. I play only domination which is 10v10 and closely mirrors the feel of Arica Harbor conquest. Domination has no vehicles and 3 flags to cap. I do like the weapons and the weapon options in this game much better. In fact I do look forward to playing on a regular basis.
One thing I really like is the all kits weapon selection. There are about 8 shotguns, 8 semi-auto rifles, and 8 carbines that can be used across classes. Not to mention class specific weapons like the AR's, PDW's, Bolt Actions Rifles, and LMG's; depending on your class.
Like any new game it has it's issues, and a different load out screen that take some figuring out, and some new/different ways to set up but I like the game. It gets 2 thumbs up from me.

I'm liking this game a lot. Also, the Battlelog smart device app makes it a LOT easier to change your load out.

It's the last two field upgrades on the Support that lock up the PS3. Indirect Fire is one of them and I forgot the name of the second one, but they both freeze you as soon as you spawn in.
As for the App, has it been laggy for you guys? I downloaded it on a Galaxy Tab 2 but it seems to be less responsive than the PC Battle Log.

I use Battlelog on my iPhone 5, and it works perfectly.

man, that really sucks. you know though, they said that dice put a lot of "things" server side so they should be able to do hot patches or whatever a lot more frequently. i know on ps3 and xbox patching is a pain in the butt for them because of the cost. hopefully they can get this one fixed a lot more easily. this will be a good test to see what they can do on the consoles.
i konw they've already ran a couple of patches behind the scenes.
