You could look at the medical bills of every NFL player since the NFL was formed.  That's documentation that it's inherent with injury.

I don't believe death or permanent memory loss was ever attributed to football injuries. Could be wrong.

Would also need to prove that the players have access to these records before contracts are signed, which I doubt is the case.

You also would need to know if signing a waiver/release of liability was part of an NFL contract. I'll bet it is. Like I stated: money is a powerful motivator for these men.

If it was, the players would not have won the lawsuit. It might be on all future contracts, however.

The players didn't win anything.  The NFL settled, so this would never be held against them in the future, and it avoided a lengthy, public, trial.

Which they surely would have lost. I misspoke above.

I wouldn't be so sure. Very few contracts are bulletproof.

We'll never know who would have won.  Either way, to say NFL players are oblivious to loss of life and debilitating injury by playing football is ignorant.  Two high school kids in my area alone have died this year.  One was the result of a sever concussion, and the other was complications from a stroke.  Both collapsed while playing the game.

Did that stop the area high schools from fielding football teams?  Nope.

Then they shouldn't complain about getting hurt. It's part of that profession. What's next?  Soon boxers will be complaining about concussions.

They can always get a non-contact job like everyone else.

If a welder burns his hand while working, is that the fault of the employer for not providing enough training and supervision or the fault of the employee? Who's liable for damages?

Depends on if he had all the safety equipement in place, common sense is also factors in.

Is it cause you get hard looking at the players or from the grinding on the field?
