My problem with this isn't so much the immediate changes to the economy. Whatever, that will balance itself out eventually. My issue is the fact that it encourages people to think it's okay to be working these jobs. Considering the abundance of jobs and opportunities across Canada, it's fucking lame that we're just keeping dead weight.

Not everyone is dead weight. Some people work minimum wage jobs to support themselves in other facets of life, but minimum wage is supposed to get you by, not give you a career and the liberal party is just trying to save their ass after all the recent scandals.

It's this whole "everyone is special" movement. It's "okay" to be fat, because everyone is getting bigger, it's "okay" to do you what you love instead of what makes money, because you matter more than the system itself, it's "okay" to dress like a slob, because being comfortable is more important than being productive.
It's mind boggling to me. Some people are better than others, and some people will fail. At the end of the day, someone needs to lose.

quad post. It's "okay" to be fat, because everyone is getting bigger,
You should watch this sometime. Some people are just built to be bigger, but can still be healthy.

Okay great. It's not okay to be bigger because other people are doing it though. You been on Facebook lately? How many people post about how real women have curves? Or big guys are more fun? That's the wrong mentality.

I'll give you an example of something I deal with. I TA first and second year students, and one of the classes is a presentations class. Students give five minute presentations on a subject to 12 people in a boardroom setting. 50% of the class will fail, because they aren't capable of presenting properly, which is fine, they can learn.
I do however have one student who has a medical note saying he's anxious and he can't present in front of the group. He has to give one on one presentations to me instead.
So now there's a kid who in a years time will be applying for co-op positions he's under qualified for because he can't speak in front of people. Is it his fault? Maybe. Who knows if he's really anxious, but he is not suited for certain jobs. Other students who perform poorly can't get these jobs, neither should this student, because it's not about your own struggle, it's about your own strengths.

The minimum wage should be enough for people to support themselves. A good minimum wage gives people the freedom to maybe get a degree and work their way up. Working for little pay will just stagnate the working class. it's "okay" to do you what you love instead of what makes money, because you matter more than the system itself,
because making money is the only way of helping the system?
It's mind boggling to me. Some people are better than others, and some people will fail. At the end of the day, someone needs to lose.
The failures still deserve at least a chance of success. If you take away their healthcare, their minimum wage, their education, they will always be poor.

I get that your posts are targeting people who have opportunities but settle for minimum wage jobs, but a lot of people can't afford university education and need a good minimum wage in order to work their way up.
If people are happy with minimum wage then i don't see a problem as long as they are happy to live within their means. As you said not everyone can be rich, or "special".
