Do you have any evidence I am wrong?  Because my position tracks with every other similar situation in reality.  I'd love you to prove me wrong rather than just talking crap.  That is weaker than logical anecdotal evidence.

I have anecdotal evidence.

This is fun.

Except you haven't even put forth any. Ignorance is bliss, which is why it seems fun to you.

You do realize that there aren't any empirical studies on the issue of who was the driving force behind the eventual legalization of pot, so the ONLY evidence is anecdotal? That's sort of how it works. We observe, use our experience, and our common sense to draw conclusions. And there isn't a shred of observation or common sense that would lead to any other conclusion than users were the driving force behind the fact that the general public now supports pot use and its legalization.

But go ahead and keep sidestepping my requests for your own argument.  Heck, you don't even have the balls to tell me who you think IS the group(s) behind the legalization push, let alone put forth even anecdotal evidence to support your argument.

All it does is make you look like a troll. But I guess we all already knew that. You often engage in arguments, calling out the positions of others, without ever once putting forth evidence or using sound logic.

Also, just so you know, empirical and direct evidence are not the only valid types of evidence. Circumstantial evidence (which your ignorant brain often confuses with anecdotal evidence) carries the same weight as direct evidence. Just thought I'd leave that with you to chew on before you try to come back with more of your trolling crap.

This isn't circumstantial at all. Would you like some names of people who support legalization without use? Would that make you happy? You have to be riding the short bus to your office if you believe those people don't exist.

Ah but you missed the point. Probably because you ignored my questions earlier and instead just made sarcastic statements. I agree that right now there are MANY people, both in the general public and politicians as well, who support legalization. And we both agreed that they were misinformed. So I asked you who misinformed them. You failed to respond. My point is that at the core of the issue is users who would like it legalized, and they have propagated a movement to convince people it is harmless and is a positive thing for society. There are tons of people who have fallen into this propaganda and now support the movement, but that doesn't mean they were the ones who forced the issue.

LOL, Then take a shot at a counter-point. DDD seems unwilling.
I keep trying but my browser crashes and I have to start all over. Fourth time's the charm, I hope..   Undecided

I actually agree with you as to the drivers of the movement. My "evidence" is just anecdotal observation and speculation, but I don't care enough to argue it. It's a pointless issue, IMO. If Hitler brought around a cure for cancer, would we shun it? I don't think the opinion toward activists for an issue should have any weight on its outcome. I have a personal agenda in wanting to smoke recreationally but I still want people, like Kiehan, to be able to use mmj as a safer alternative to pain meds.

Where I take issue is the "absurdity of weed as medication". Propaganda implies deceit, but how have pro-weed arguments misled anyone? There are virtually no negative effects from mmj, unless you just don't like the feeling. The one arguable downside is that it has the effect, for lazy individuals, to forgo a responsible path toward life goals. With the amount of suicides and addiction brought on by prescription pain medicine, I just don't see how that minor side-effect makes it less useful or reasonable for use. The benefit-downside ratio is far higher than any other drug.

No negative effects?  You're breathing smoke. Since when is breathing smoke a good thing?

That's true, but there are other ways to use the drug. I've been vaporizing almost exclusively for the past week, with maybe 2 short smoke sessions (waiting for vaporizer to charge). I've also tried a smoothie that I made which was highly effective.

There are negative effects to a lot of things that society deems good, but I think Jabba was just exaggerating to make the point that the negative effects are very minuscule when compared to other drugs trying to achieve the same effects.
