Number two on the list is one of the biggest things that nobody ever mentions. Everyone is always riding the customizable bandwagon and always asking for more **** but nobody realizes that it's a nightmare to balance everything. I love that BC2 was so simple to get into the menu and then back into the game.

And obviously the silly animations and audio cues gave the game the charm that everyone loves. bf3 and 4 are not fun because you can't jump 20 feet in the air or jump off a 2 story building and not take fall damage.

I liked the subtle audio clips too.  Like when you went out of bounds it would say "where in the **** are you going?!" And, *knifes fence* "want some of this?!" Cheesy

The funniest was in Vietnam when you set someone on fire with flamethrower and the way they screamed.  I almost pissed myself every time I heard it.

Awesome article.  Afro

"Enemy infantry in hard-to-reach places? That’s what *ahem* Carl Gustav was for."

Priceless.

****ing Carlos Gustavo. I hate the dudes who run around maining it.

Sniping wookies across the map with the CJ ranks up there with the most fun I've had playing FPS. That and they're great for exposing window snipers.

I basically quit playing FPS after BC2. BF3 just wasn't that fun IMO. BC2 and MoH were always fun.

BF3 for some reason wasn't so bad. At the time I didn't like it as much but it might have gotten an extra point or two on my rating scale simply because BF4 sucks even more.

I think I'm going to find BF3 for cheap on PC. I want to say that the biggest reason I didn't like it was because there was MASSIVE input lag on the PS3 version. I remember there was also a huge ass debate as to whether there was or wasn't but going back to it the other day, you can immediately feel that ****. THey said it had to do with the TV you used while playing it but I have my PS3 hooked up to my BenQ monitor that's 144hz and it still has input lag.

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm wanting to bet that I'd like the game a lot more on the PC where you can control it better.

No, just....no.  BF4 is a ton better than BF3 thus far, and with patches (lolol) it'll only get better.  People also tend to forget that BC2 also had to have like 9 patches and nerfs in its growing stage and it ended up nearly perfect (for the cult followers).

I think both games aren't too good. They complicated everything too much and that's probably my main gripe, not the performance. BC2 was complicated in comparison to some other shooters but it is a lot more straight forward that the two games that came after it.

Also, I generally just don't like the feel of those games.

Nah, I completely agree with you that they're both not up to par with BC2,  but I don't think it's close with BF3/4 either.  BF4 beats BF3 by a long shot

**** got too complicated and less fun in the process. plus, why the fawk would you remove fully destructible buildings and replace them with that BS they had in BF3? let's all just start playing BC2 again. It's been long enough now that it will feel fresh again and we'll probably only be playing with good players since only the **** fans are still playing...

I play BC2 on the pc actually. I wouldn't mind going back to the ps3 for a few games now and again though.
