So you guys have probably noticed that we're missing a decent number of posts, specifically all of those that were posted after September 30th.

According to SMF, a spam script that was intended to remove posts from bot advertisement accounts proved a little bit too aggressive in what it classified as spam and decided that our entire forum needed a good old-fashioned purge.

Fortunately, backups existed for our forum and for others that were wiped.  Unfortunately, the site is only backed up periodically, and since the last backup occurred on 9/30 that's where the backup placed us.

So enjoy the small-scale time travel, I guess.  Who knows, maybe we can find a cached version of the site from Google and restore some of the posts manually.  Anyway, I hope that clears things up for those of you who didn't get the news first-hand.

Thanks to Oom and LT for both contacting me about the issue last night, as I otherwise might not have noticed until today.

Naw, just thank Oom. He came and got me. If you want, also, thank me too probably more than Oom, because. But don't thank Turbo. He's already acknowledge that he doesn't deserve anything.

I didn't notice it until I read the Birthday topic with Autumns posts. Sucks cause it makes the whole site look dead in the active areas. Lost a Nintendo Direct update  Angry also.

Was it really aggressive, or are we a spam oriented forum? I guess only the bot knows for sure.

Yeah, it wasn't renewed. A few months afterwards Kreater got the WeUniteGaming.com domain for a year. Not sure how long ago that was.
