I hope its not just for VC games from Nintendo. I will be happy whem someone integrates this with something like WaW or The Conduit for DLC.

actually it is my understanding that you still can't directly play games from the sd card.  what happens is that the game makes a temporary file on your wii flash memory in order to play the game.  So while you don't personally have to worry about the transfering of all the files back and forth, the wii does it for you without you knowing.  So in order to utilize DLC, you would still need to make sure you had enough memory free on the wii before it would play from the sd card.

that is correct lawyer.  Kiss i have a lot of dlc on my card. you just have to leave enough free room on your system memory to load the largest game file on your sd card. i have a 2 gb card in my wii and it's way more memory than i'll ever need on the wii... i hope. it keeps the last game you played from the card in memory so you don't have to load it every time you play it. but, if you play a different game each time, you'll have to wait that extra 20 seconds or so for it to load onto the system memory

yeah I have an 8 gig card on mine.  I leave the channels on the wii memory and all the VC games (i have around 25 of them) on the SD card and it works out great.  That leaves about 900 blocks free on the wii which is more than enough for any VC game, and my SD card has like 57,000 blocks free. Afro

i think around 400-500 free blocks is all you need. i leave the games and channels that i use most often on the system memory and the other 30 or so games/channels on the card.

btw, did you download "Swords and Soldiers" from WiiWare? it's a good one, probably one of the best on WiiWare

i just modified my above post w/ a link while you were posting

it's a 2d sidescrolling RTS game, which sounds weird but it works out great. it looks simple but is pretty deep w/ strategy for what it is. and, you won't beat the computer on your first try every time  Shocked
