Regardless of the lyrics and their deeper religious meanings, it's got a really mellow and trance-inducing sound to it. And for sure it's not a song I'll be blasting out my car window as I roll up to school. One of those songs you keep to yourself and never let out of your library, I'm sure we all have a few of those lying around. So true

My Deftones channel on Pandora radio randomly played this song, and I cannot get enough of it:

So how does pandora work? I've always wondered how things like xm radio and pandora select songs I'm not entirely sure. My best guess is, with Pandora, they give you a "thumbs up" and a "thumbs down" option on each song as a way to rate it. If you thumbs-down a song, it won't ever play it again. If you thumbs-up one, it'll play that song for you relatively often, and I think it'll then try to find other songs similar to the ones you've 'liked'. I've really only listened to the Deftones Radio channel because, for whatever reason, gives me a huge selection of very different music styles. For instance, this morning I heard: Deftones, CCR, some instrumental Celtic music, Nirvana, a band I don't know w/music like the one I posted above, and the Beatles. However it works, I like it.

It's got a Depeche Mode ring to it. Also, I <3 U, cause I love pandora too. Thats all I listen to on my blackberry, and especially at the gym. As far as the thumbs up goes, it'll save it and play it more often than other randoms. On my phone I can even bookmark songs.

I've only discovered Hum within the last few months, and I agree with you Blaise. Kreater, I <3 U TOO, but my iPhone is better than your crackberry. Did you ever use/try the Slacker Radio app? I used to only use that one because I preferred its layout better than Pandora. However, I started to realize that each station only played about 50 songs, just in different successions. And, they only play singles. Pandora is teh shiz for playing songs from albums that aren't already on the radio.

Slacker sucks. I tried it to see how their selection was and it was bunk.

What's great about the PS3 is I get to play youtube videos on my TV :]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]
I'm with ya there, when I was searching through the internet on my ps3 I 'stumbled' on a free stream of the Hurt Locker and watching it on a 42 inch wasn't too bad given the expected quality of it.

I hate the album Sawdust, but this is a pretty good song.
