When I started playing violin, all the other kids were playing guitar, so I wanted to do that to fit in.  I even quit playing the violin for six years or so.  Just started lessons again this summer, and it's amazing how quickly I've relearned it.

Also, girls dig the violin.  Yeah.

LOL, I really like classical music...thats what I would be playing.  After I started learning the guitar, though, I got into the whole metal scene.  I really wish i could play the piano, though.  I would never do anything else.

Metal?  I wouldn't have pictured that.

But yeah, I wish I could play the piano.  My sister can, and I guess I could ask her to teach me eventually.

And classical is great.  One of my particular favorites is Tic Toc Choc (probably misspelled that).  Played on a harpsichord, too.

I don't understand metal.

I say that in place of "I don't like metal," because I don't think people would like something if it weren't in some way enjoyable or meaningful.  I've just never understood it.  It sounds angry to me.  D:

Beethoven is great.  But I've always preferred Mozart for some reason, and I have no clue what that reason is.

That being said, Moonlight Sonata is probably the first thing I think of when I try to name a classical masterpiece.

But I think I like this band because they have a cello and violin, and I play the violin.  So I like to imagine I'll be in that position one day.

Enjoy your British hipster pop. I went to one of their concerts back in October. Great show, but I would not be friends with anyone else that was in the club that night. I'm pretty sure I was the only male not wearing skinny jeans. But it was entertaining to see the lead singer just pick up a set of bells and start rocking out mid song.

Judging by the band's name, I'm guessing gay pr0n.

Turbs, you're an orch dork? I played the violincello up until like 9th grade or something like that. I originally wanted to play the violin but when I went to get sized they told me my fingers were wide, perhaps too much for a violin. He suggested either the cello or bass and I went with the former.

I was the best in elementary school but going into junior high I always got my ass kicked by this one chic, Jessica Barnett, whenever I would challenge her for first chair. I only beat her once.

My favorite piece is actually the one we played for U.I.L.
