That's not the only reason. It's just the lack of competitive depth in general. Wi-Fi should be a plus no matter how bad it is, and for some unserious lulz games it actually works pretty well, and that's what brawl does best anyway...

I'm sure brawl can be taken to a decently high level as well and be competitive, but even those who prefers brawl and play it competitively admits that melee is the harder game to be good at.

I like melee better because the CPU isnt as cheap as brawls is. I like brawl but it can really **** me off in alot of ways. The CPU is cheap, they always have advantages over you, sometimes when I dodge something, I still end up getting hit sometimes, when some people have alot of damage, they dont fly off even when I do a strong attack but if I have alot of damage, im quick to fly off the map. I never had these problems in melee so, I vote for melee as the best Smash Bros game out.

I was a beast at melee. I always won using Luigi. But on Brawl, luigi doesn't feel right. Brawl was also way too easy to beat.

Melee was harder, I had a tough time playing XD
But honestly, I kinda miss Melee, I really want to give Melee another chance.
Brawl is just a game that happens to **** me off because of Button Lags...

You had a tough time playing melee? The control to me felt really natural. Another reason why brawl sucks is that I can't do any of my combos that i created in melee.  Angry

Yeah it is pretty hard to combo in brawl, especially since u can spam aerial dodge as much as you want. but it still is possible to combo in brawl.

Just barely.  The developers deliberately made it nearly impossible to combo by shrinking the hitbox, making most characters heavier or slower than their Melee counterparts, and by adding the tripping feature.  Remember that recently Nintendo has moved closer to the casual gamer's wants; Brawl is a casualized version of Melee.  And that, among other things, is why I haven't played Brawl since...the day I bought it.  All it does is collect dust.  >_>

Personally I liked Melee more. It had more techs and you could combo without having someone air dodge out of it.  Smiley
