i voted that HVS would fix it. they haven't worked this hard to throw all their work down the drain. they will come up with a system that works

To me it mostly depends on how they use them... If it's just to add friends on a list similar to the one in MoH i couldn't care less. It really didn't have much use anyway. >_>
Part of the reason MoHH2 friends weren't useful is because you couldn't choose one and jump directly to whatever server they were on. It would be a shame if that mistake were repeated. The other part is that there weren't many features to take part in. No WiiSpeak, no custom text messages (possibly part of the reason Ninty let EA skip FCs). Finally, in MoHH2, your EA nation id was your unique ID. In random FC games like mariokart, FCs were the unique ID, but all that was displayed was the Mii name, which could be repeated and wasn't an ID. So it was difficult to know who you were playing. When I'm playing in the Conduit, I want to know who I'm up against and be able to play them again if they're good.

Well, if we must have FC's...then I truly hope they will make adding easier and give us plenty of space on our friend list. In MKWii, you are only given 30 spots for your friends. I constantly have to delete people I don't really want to, so that I have space to add.
For 16 player matches, any given clan member is going to need a whole lotta spaces to participate without juggling. And it isn't like there's a space crunch. Those codes don't take up a lot memory. Still, it's so much easier to find one server than tons of people. Or to deal with having to get everyone into the game in a short time period before it starts without some of them. Hopefully, there's at least some form of lobby included in their tweaks.

And all of that is why i said it depends on how they use it, and if it's only for a list similar to the one in MoH. And even if it has the jumping abbilities (or just the abbility to say WHICH server people are in) it won't mean *that* much. The ID point would be annoying though. But yeah, it really depends on how much influence it has on the game.

And even if it has the jumping abbilities (or just the abbility to say WHICH server people are in) it won't mean *that* much. It was such a tiny thing, it really pissed me off that that wasn't included in the game. It's not so much that it was a big deal to have it (you're correct on that), but with that friend list already in place, it seemed criminal not to spend 30 seconds programming it to at least tell me what server they were in, if not 3 minutes to make it possible for me to auto-jump to their server. I mean, when it's that easy, there's no excuse. Especially considering how hard stuff like communicating was. Since they saved time not having to program that, why not make something a little easier. Ya know?

Yeah it was kinda ridicilous. Just like it was ridicilous that you had to be among the top100 kills to be able to see more detailed stats. I mean if the game already keeps track of those stats, then why not make it possible for you to see? I would even be more interested in being able to see my own detailed weapon stats than all the people on that weapon leaders board. Now i happen to be in weapon leaders anyway (on pal at least ), but i just really don't understand why they didn't make a detailed profile just for you to look at instead of that screen only showing name, kills, deaths, and score. There's other things like being able to see other players' ping, detailed stats for yourself (possibly others) after one game, and voicechat i'd be more interested in seeing, but as you said the 2 above things shouldn't take much to include. The stats one i've been told isn't either, and i can't imagine showing people's connection can be either, but i'd still somewhat expect the other things to be in place more simply because they seem more obvious.

One nice thing about MarioKart was part of how they did the rankings. If you're high ranked and beat someone who's low ranked, you don't move up as much as if you beat someone of equal or greater rank. If you're low ranked and you beat someone higher, you get a really nice boost.
MoHH2 rankings were far too simplistic, and far too heavily weighted towards time played churning out kills, and of course, they rewarded noob-hunting. I wouldn't want identical rankings to mario kart, but it would be nice if they took into account stats above kills-deaths.

Only after Hamster #5 stroked out and the 3rd commodore 64 crashed. The first two, maybe 3 months, it was silky smooth.

If they put friend codes, hopefully people on your friends list will be able to join "locked games" without putting in a pass. It'll be down if that happens oh and pie
