So there has been this program going around the 360 community, including: Shadowrun, GoW, Halo 3, and Rainbow Six. And for good reason. Not only does it give new players a chance to enter the more competitive scene, but it improves the overall relationship in a community. Noobs make friends with the pros, and both can make good names for themselves which spreads. The "Noobs" see that being competitive can be fun too, and the "Pro" teams get more potential recruits. New clans may arise. So what is Adopt a Noob?
Good players and players willing to learn sign up for either side. The "Noobs" wanting to learn can ask any "Pro" to pair with them through a PM. The good player should always accept. It is then the pro's duty to teach the noob the tricks of the game. Weapon tips, movement tips, communication tips, and anything to help the worse player improve. Both players should have a good time doing this, it is very important that the learning and understanding is rewarding for both players. Both the noob and the better player should be understanding, cooperative, friendly and patient with each other. If there is a mismatch, the pair can always split and find new partners. I feel like I'm giving relationship advice!
I'm making this exclusive for The Conduit because it has one thing other games don't have-Wiispeak. Wiispeak is by far the easiest method of communication for players that don't know each other. That being said, if two players can find an alternate method of communication, then that works to. But is is HIGHLY recommended that all participants have WiiSpeak as an option. Of course, this will not be put into place until at least a few months after The Conduit releases, when we can identify top and struggling players. I'm posting this here and now to get the word out, see who is interested and see other ideas.
If you are interested, please show it by signing up. Make sure you post if you will be getting WiiSpeak! Also, please no discussion of who would be considered a top player and a noob. All that will be cleared up when the time comes. I understand this will be tough with such a small community, but it is worth a try. I'm copying this post to my clan boards, Wii Unite, and GB. Feel free to copy and paste it to wherever you want.
