Bond and his weapon aren't bad (although check out where his jacket bleeds into his pants), but look at that water and the handrail leading into it. Then look at the pillar behind him (which actually reminds me of some original quake textures--fresh in my mind since I have quake on my wii). Now think, this is what they're showing off, so what must the stuff that they're hiding look like? Now think, Oh, so that's why it took so long before Wii assets got shown off. I've had QoS DS assets on WiiHD for a month. 360 assets longer. Previews and hands-on for the PS360 were plenteous early on, and we've just started getting a taste of them for Wii in the past week (mostly disappointing). Personally, I thought QoS had tons of potential compared to more recent Bond games. With the change of the game franchise ownership, the really great relaunch of the Movies, extra time (as development began with Casino Royale assets--and they still make up part of the game), and development teams looking to really reach back and capture some of multiplayer fun Goldeneye managed.... But if this is a great game, it's hard to imagine in being a great game on Wii. Bad gfx are bad gfx, we've put up with it before. But there's a difference between sub-par and pure laziness, and when you combine this with Wii getting 4 player online instead of 12, it's an indication of just how much attention Activision wanted on the Wii version. They put their effort elsewhere. The offline multiplayer mode is only a redeeming quality if Beenox didn't slaughter the controls. And looking at the effort they put into everything we've seen so far, that seems like even odds. If the controls suck, you may as well buy Red Steel for $10.

-What stage is the Wii version in? -Are they using a custom engine for the wii version or porting it?
If the wii version is still in pre-alpha and they're using a custom engine, then you can expect for it to be cleaned up a LOT.
If it's a port, then I can guarantee that screenshot you have is the final product. :/

For starters, World at War makes use of the Call of Duty 4 engine on Wii, just like Activision's other headline Wii title, Quantum of Solace. I wasn't that impressed by the gfx for WAW... IMO, it's not looking good for either of these games. :/

All versions release with the movie, November 11th I think it is? If the Discs aren't already being pressed, they will be soon. It's a port using the modified CoD4 engine. As to the specifics of how much of the games assets are original, it's hard to say. Beenox is coding this one, and the PS360 versions are being done by Treyarch. My guess would be Beenox's only responsibility is the modification of assets to the Wii version (and the PC version), and some mild feature additions (like the 4 player offline). I wasn't that impressed by the gfx for WAW... IMO, it's not looking good for either of these games. :/ WaWii has seen more of the light of day than QoS Wii, but not much more. I have yet (<--- emphasis there) to see anything from WaWii that looks so spectacularly lazy as this. WaWii is being developed in-house by Treyarch, and they have actually been giving some attention to the game. Not as much as I'd like, and some of the attention has been in the form of whiny excuses, but compared to QoS Wii, which was farmed out to license-mill Beenox, I think WaWii may have a lot more quality control.

I thought N64 GFX tbh.
I lol'd @ the water, checked PS3 screens, and decided to rent it for PS3 for some nice trophies and to see how it is.
