Have you tried making it force quit? I've had to hold down the power button for quite a while to get it to quit so i could re boot.

Try re-synchronizing Ress. Push the red button on the wii (next to the SD card slot) then push the red button on the wimote in the battery compartment. Make sure your batteries aren't completely dead.

I'm using batteries that have been charging overnight. Mum, none of the buttons work at all.
I'll try it bantha. I may go out and buy another mote.
Resetting it doesn't work. Could it be the sensor bar?

Your batteries may be completely dead. If it was dead overnight, you lose the synchronization. If it was the sensor bar, you would still be able to get out of the "Push A to Continue" Screen because the remote uses bluetooth tech to communicate with the console.

That "push A' menu leaves after a bit and goes directly to the Home menu. I use some trusty Duracells, which I know aren't even in the least dead.
Time to buy a mote.

I don't think your Wiimote is broken though since you said the lights flash when you press a button. I think it's just desynchronized. Happens to me when I let the batteries die

I got it working. You were right about the synching. I thought you meant push the reset button.

The RED buttons, the RED buttons! Save the 40 bucks for a game! LOL! Other useful tips to remember. The Wii console can only synchronize with 4 items at a time. So, 4 Wiimotes + WiiFit platform, the first Wiimote gets booted off. The Wiimote is the one that sychronizes with the console. If you take your Wiimote to a friends place and synchronize it to his console, you have to synchronize it back to your console when you go home.
