All three are in America :p. It wouldn't make a difference. Once the codes get to the public and into the wrong hands, this game will be over. Oh well, it was gonna happen eventually seeing how USB Gecko and WiiRD has been out for a while now.

Who said we were releasing to the public?

I talked to Virus the other day. He said he'll eventually release them after the Conduit comes out maybe.

So...in other words it won't happen.

(Until the game really is dead.)

You're saying you use it to play out of region games? So it is one of you guys who also used to be playing on the european servers with an automatic sniper? Maybe you are european and are now playing on the US servers? Tongue
No,

I live in KS. and yes it's possible to use it to play out of region games. I haven't tried it yet
Hah, and here i went out of my way getting both an american and a european copy Tongue

I thought you could play people in other countries... unless PAL people only play against PAL and NTSC only plays against NTSC.

In MoHH2 that's how it is but in MkWii and WaW you can play against Europeans. You can play against virtually anyone in MKWii. I don't know about brawl since I've never had someone in the PAL region wanting to play me in that game.

Brawl you can play anyone. MSC and MoH are the only ones regionlocked.
In MSC europeans could play australians through FCs or by changing their country on the wii to Australia. A PAL wii naturally couldn't change its country to an NTSC region.
In MoH europeans can only play europeans as australia didn't even get online in MoH (man that must've sucked Wink). You could however add american people as friends in MoH and even send messages to them and see when they were playing as PAL players - and sign in on your account on NTSC although it would create a seperate score so you wouldn't enherit your stats... It was a little annoying as some of my PAL friends would message me asking if i wanted to play when i was on NTSC and vice versa Tongue

Thanks for the lulz, Wii Unite. We began "hacking" this game to see how the public would react. That is also the reason why we registered for this site.

We have done nothing illegal here. These hacks are actually codes I made for the Ocarina (Gecko OS) cheat engine, which works similar to an Action Replay device. No copyrighted material was distributed.

I have not decided if or when I will release the codes publicly.

Once again Virus, you may want to study up on copyright law.  Homebrew in and of itself is illegal.  And I have read the Court Cases concerning the original Action Replay, and I know that if someone were to raise the issue, anyone using such codes on homebrew could easily be prosecuted.  And if there was ever a company to bring such a suit, Nintendo would be it.  Sorry, but you are getting way in over your head if you think there is no possibility of consequences.  I am not naive enough to think that anyone will actually do anything about it, but don't fool yourself in thinking it isn't possible.  One major mistake that you don't forsee in doing things like this and you could end up in prison with millions of dollars in restitution.  Your life could effectivelly be over before it starts and all for just a little fun.  I would advise to be careful and try to fully think things through before doing anything else like this.  It could eventually come back to bite you.

Oops, I accidentally typed Action Replay when I meant Game Genie.  And while the holding in Galoob v. Nintendo seems to indicate such a hex code may not be derivative, I think the dicta would suggest that the ruling in Galoob was limited to its facts and that homebrew is somewhat different in its nature and could easily fall outside that case.
