I have yet to see a thread like this on these boards and seeing as that some of you don't go to Gamefaqs, I thought I'd bring some of the outside techniques here to share the love  Afro. Some of you may consider these glitches or bugs, but either way they are useful to The Conduit metagame in their own shape and form. I will try my best to prevent posting any thing found that is gamebreaking, and if one of the glitches becomes gamebreaking, I will remove it from the list to prevent anymore people from ruining the game.

Advanced Techniques

Shotgun Cancelling as found by Bengalsrz4

What it does: This technique is used to make the shotgun shoot, now this is a rough estimate, about 1.5 times faster than normal. I, myself, have not fully tested this so I'm not sure if you can keep lock-on on your opponent whilst doing it. I think the reload cancels the lock-on. This does make accuracy quite shakey.

How do preform this:

Quote from: Bengalsrz4
In quick succession, perform the following inputs: Shoot, Melee, Reload, Shoot, repeat.

Pros:

-Faster rate of fire

Cons:

- Decreases accuracy

Land Sliding/Crouch Sliding as found by TNCBagTag

What it does: It allows you to move at a much faster speed than running speed.

How to Do it:

Quote from: TNCBagTag
Run in any direction, Jump, as soon as you hit the ground crouch and hold it. You'll slide at a higher speed then running speed and best of all, your crouched!
The better you time it, the farther you'll slide. Also some weapons dont work as well for this as others.

Pros:

- Move faster than running speed
- Possible alternative to strafing (i.e. crouch slide left and right)

Cons:

- Because timing is quite precise, continually doing this is quite difficult.
- While you are in the crouch slide, you do not become invisible to the oppoenent until you return to normal crouch walking speed.

Quick Melee as found by StarWolf

What it does: It makes the melee a little faster than normally.

How to do it:

Quote from: StarWolf
Simply press melee then the reload/pickup button immediately after.

Pros:

- Negates ending parts of the melee animations causing for a quicker melee
- Reloads your weapons if clip is already low or out of ammo.

Cons:

- No cons

Auto-Charge as found by StarWolf

What it does: Causes the charge to remain without holding down the B button (or your shoot button)

How to do it:

Quote from: StarWolf
Charge your weapon, hold fire, then press melee and reload. Let go of the charge/fire button, and your gun should still be charged. Tap fire to release the charged shot. Switching weapons and melee will lose the charge, but melee and reload (quick melee), throwing grenades, and getting ammo from the caches will not.

Pros:

- Allows you to keep charge without holding shoot.
- Some find it easier to hold the aim steady
- You can throw grenades while the gun is charged, whereas a normal charge, you cannot.

Cons:

- Can lose the charge if you switch weapons or melee (but not if you quick melee)

Quick Nading as found by Sin

What it does: Allows you to throw grenades at a much faster rate than normal

How to perform:

Quote from: Sin
How to perform: Continuously jump and spam the grenade button. Jump > Grenade > Jump > Grenade > Repeat.

Pros:

- Faster grenade throws
- You are jumping so you are also avoiding bullets

Cons:

- No known cons

And there are the Advanced Techniques known so far. If you find some advanced techniques, please post them here so I can add onto this list. Feedback would be nice. And if these people who I say found it did not, please notify me otherwise

lol. I wish I could edit my post because I found a con for Crouch Sliding. It takes precise timing so keeping it continuous is difficult.

Haha exactly what i was thinking. Not too sure i'm too happy about that one, but i guess i'll have to get used to it.

You're missing a few things though. Like the SCAR insta-kill... Not sure you'll consider the others worth of being in here although they're either useful or actually glitches (lol TCP launcher glitch...)... Take a look at starwolf's list on gamerhold: http://www.gamerhold.com/forum/index.php?topic=19799.0

And if anyone wants to comment on me being creditted for the strike rifle combo... I didn't ask him to list it, i just mentioned it to someone there at some point because i was talking about why i praised the gun, and appearntly no one else on the board knew about it. I'm sure many others figured it too Tongue

Okay I looked over these. I'll add quick melee to these and maybe a few others but most are common combos. Obviously melee to shoot and charge shot to melee is gonna kill. No offense to StarWolf though. His finds are legit but most are pretty common imo.

I think if you throw a nade when in succession of reloading, after the nade is thrown, the clip is full again.  Im not 100% sure, but for some reason or another, everytime i run out of ammo, I throw a last desperation nade, then go back to my gun and the clip is full again.

@ Kreater: Test this some more. I don't want to put up things that may not be true, no offense.

Yeah as i said the charge to shoot was a little... But fine with me that he credits me for something Tongue
The melee to shoot is about being able to shoot quickly afterwards though. You could argue that it's "obvious" after adding quick melee though Smiley

Well, that technique coincides with the Shotgun Cancel. Same principle basicly.
