If anyone downloads World of Goo, please post your opinion of it. I've been waiting for this title to be released on WiiWare for a long time and I won't get to try it out until late tonight... if I even have time tonight.

World of Goo got a 9.5 review from IGN already. If you haven't heard about it, check it out. Afro

it's a puzzle/building type game that's based on real world physics. the free demo is called 'tower of goo' if you wanna try it out first and get a feel for it. I've been hooked on the little demo ever since i found it. The WiiWare game "world of goo" is down loadable today and looks awesome.

P.S.
I'm an engineer so I'm kinda inclined to like this game more than most i think.

not sure if that answers your question cuz i'm not sure what your question is  Undecided

ok, so I bought it and only have been able to play a little and I freakin love it so far! you guys gotta try it if your into any kind of thinking game.  Afro

it's 1500 points and, to me, totally worth it. like i said before, you can download a free version to check out the concept first. (experimentalgameplay.com is the site I think?)

the game was developed by only three people by the way!

so is anyone else playing this game?

I think this is the best WiiWare game released yet. (I haven't played Lostwinds yet though)

Do you agree or disagree? What game do you think is the best release on WiiWare so far?

cool.

it's only an example of one of the mechanics used in the WiiWare game (which is a whole lot more than building a single tower). but if you don't think it's cool you probably won't like the game either.

I played the concept freeware today.  Pretty cool.

What sort of objectives are you trying to accomplish in the WiiWare title?

the full game has a bunch of different levels. like around maybe 40 - 50 stages total divided into four chapters. each chapter has a different kinda theme to the levels. the point of each level is to save as many goo balls as you can by building structures or sometimes destroying stuff. so, the more goos you use to figure out the puzzle the less goos you can save on the level. as you progress through the game you start to come across a bunch of different types of goo balls that have different abilities. some are flamable, some can be reused, some can be shot through the air, some can touch surfaces that others can't, etc... (I don't wanna give away all the surprises). the objectives range from building straight up to building, sideways, over and under things, through moving machines, etc... the puzzles are easy at first and get harder in the later chapters. i beat the whole thing in less than two days but now i'm trying to "OCD" each level. OCD is a goal for each level that basically seems freakin impossible sometimes.

i really like the game, but some of that comes from the fact that i've studied physics alot. i like the fact that it's physics based puzzles it's fun for me to try to build the most efficient design possible (which is required to OCD any level). you can see some of the levels on youtube, just check the GF forums cuz people are posting solutions to harder levels to help eachother.

....end novel  Wink
