"yeah don't worry NDS. We are transparent here so nothing to hide. We are by the gamer for the gamer. All of those involved with WiiUnite were the result of a vote on gamefaqs months ago." Well on this part I wonder how many of the clans that have formed since then were represented? since you used an old vote to determine who is an admin or other management of this site.
"We invited several from the list of those who got votes who we personally thought would be a big help and would do a good job as mods. The ultimate plan was to take those nominations and after the site creation process, they would become moderators of this site." So as I said Who's represented, are they just some of the mods from the older clans? Do any represent clans that are now gone?
"We did try to get a cross section of the major clans so no one would feel like their clan had no say, but ultimately that is impossible." But if you missed some clans, and there are several that are not in any trouble, and are strong, yet they were not contacted at all.
"Obviously not everyone invited got wholely involved and as a result they are not moderators right now." So when they weren't interested, why werent some representatives from other clans contacted when those individuals declined?
"For now we have a team of moderators of very deserving individuals who have represented their clans and wii unite well and are doing a great job. We have rules in place for moderators and also procedures for decision making amongst admins and mods. If the need arises we will add additional staff as needed, and decisions will be made according to who will do a good job and maintain all that WiiUnite stands for." Ok I agree with this portion as you need people to keep the peace and nomatter who comes in here, order must be kept.
I just wonder how many active clans were represented in the making of the site, because since that vote took place many people have come and gone from the Wii online gaming community, and holding onto the old guard could be constrewd as the good ole boy system, How many total people voted in that vote? And what percentage of the Wii Gaming community did this truly represent?
Don't worry I am not going to pursue this any further than these questions here, as it is your site, and I do respect other's sites. I just think these are questions that others are thinking of but haven't asked.
Thank you
