Go to the Gamefaqs Goldeneye discussion board, there is a community playing this game, just not on WU.  I think as many or a few more copies of Goldeneye have sold compared to Blops on Wii (?)  This game is fun, the guns are better balanced than any other Wii game and the nades are actually kinda hard get a kill with and no fruity kill streaks.  Shotties and Snipers can pretty much hold their own with autos in the right hands and are pure fun.  I am having a lot of fun playing this game, it has an old school fun feel.  The choppy framerate seems to disappear in your mind when you play this game a lot, play with Region On and crank up the settings so you can turn fast.  I have my settings maxed except for some of the vertical settings on default.  The controls do have a more sluggish feel compared to Blops.  I play Blops and like that game too.  At this time there is not a lot of people playing Wii Blops on WU either compared to past history.  Don't judge this game based on WU, you have to look elsewhere.

For Goldeneye, you either like the old school feel or not like it.  I would get that copy back from your friend and sell it at Gamestop for some decent money, you can get some of that $50 back if you sell it, lol.

Nah, sometime I'll play it again.. However I hate the no party thing and the abuse of well... everything. No private matches. No real game type choices. Balance AMAZING. replay value "meh". But its still a good game don't get me wrong. The only thing I like more about BLoPS that makes enough of a difference is the voice chat ability.

I still haven't opened it. :D  I think I'll actually play it in the next few months, but still enjoying MWR too much to change.

Better get started because ranking up for certain perks and guns you will want takes days and days of gameplay.  I have 10,000 kills and only on level 31 and it takes painful time to rank up especially when you get to level 20 and up.  I want to get to level 36 for lightweight/lightfoot for a bit quicker run speed for example.  I will never get to the final level most likely unless I quit playing Blops where I have 10,000 kills too and probably still never get there.  I am thinking about devoting more time to this game.  Starting late in this game means you will play players who have ranked up and have access to more perks, guns and most importantly in game experience and have figured out their ideal settings etc.  Although you can get very worthwhile perks like heavy hitter early on and the early guns work just as well.  After playing Blops and Goldeneye with less lag shooting, for me it is hard to go back and play older games with more lag shooting for any extended period of time.  Post your FC when you get started...

I think the game is really good. They made the single player updated and fresh and it still a great campaign. You can still do the off-line multi-player if and when you have your friends around. Plus it has on-line as well. Yes the frame rates are slower but I feel that the lag is very low and you can kill an enemy from across the map with a SMG. I do think it is a more duck and cover over all out run n gunning type of play. I like the fact you can peek over a wall to shoot while being mostly covered but don't like the fact you can't lay down. I also wish they added the old school map of "Temple" to this one. It would have been awesome to have a couple old school maps on the new one. Over all it isn't as good as BLOPS multi-player is and the fact it came out only a week before hurt it but I think it holds up as a great FPS for the Wii. Way better than "The Conduit" ever was
