Title: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Joker on April 18, 2011, 03:03:24 am I picked this game up for $10 and I wanna play with some people. 8) If anyone has this game and they wanna "possé" up, let me know. O0
The online player is kind of a joke. But the campaign is amazing. :o Did anyone else play Red Dead Revolver for Ps2? Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: hoop_210 on April 18, 2011, 11:23:19 pm where'd you get it for 10$?
Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: Hound, Grey Hound on April 19, 2011, 03:21:39 am Dude, I've been trying to get some people back into playing this for awhile. Actually, 3 WU'ers were playing earlier today. I'll posse up, but man, I am not very good. I'm only level 10 or so on single player and 17 on multi
Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 08:51:24 am I'll join you guys sometime. Maybe this weekend? I never did finish the campaign and I've always planned on going back. I have all the DLC for it and never even tried it.
Joker, if you gameshare with Dave, you can get all that stuff from him after he gets it from me (I think he already did actually). The online sucks as far as being competitive or anything but it is fun to posse up and just fawk around. I can't remember what level I am but I'm up there kinda high... I think. Dave and I took advantage of that glitch one night... ;) Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: hoop_210 on April 19, 2011, 01:01:51 pm Joker, if you gameshare with Dave, you can get all that stuff from him after he gets it from me (I think he already did actually). What is gameshare? and where did you get it for 10$, my wife wants to play it because she seems to think it will be like the TOMBSTONE movie... Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 19, 2011, 01:26:03 pm tell your wife that you can hogtie women and then drag them behind your horse , last time i did that I couldn't stop laughing but then I got serious and laid her on the railroad tracks and waited
Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: hoop_210 on April 19, 2011, 01:32:29 pm tell your wife that you can hogtie women and then drag them behind your horse , last time i did that I couldn't stop laughing but then I got serious and laid her on the railroad tracks and waited LOL!...i did tell her about that challenge when I first heard about it... Still over 20$ most places, so wondering where he got it for 10$... good deal... Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 01:37:43 pm gamesharing is basically a way for people to "share" their PSN accounts. you are allowed to use your PSN on up to 5 other PS3's cuz some people have multiple PS3's and want to use the same account. if you gameshare with a friend you can just log into their account and then download anything they have paid for on the PS Store. so, it allows 5 people to "share" DLC when only one person has actually paid for it. but, you can only gameshare 5 times so you have to choose who you share with carefully. you don't wanna just let anyone onto your account cuz they could just change your password and lock you out of your own PSN account, lol. I've only gameshared with two people so far and probably won't any more so I can keep my 3 other chances for if my PS3 breaks or if I get a second one or whatever. this is meant for people to use with their family or households or whatever... not really meant for people to "share" DLC but that's what most people end up using the option for.
Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: hoop_210 on April 19, 2011, 01:46:21 pm WOW!!...man, I wanna share some **** sometime!...
Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 01:55:09 pm Just decide on 2-3 people that you really trust and know you'll probably be gaming with forever and then you guys can all share stuff from the PS Store. We just take turns on who pays for what. Everyone I share with usually gets stuff from me cuz I'm a PS+ member... PS+ members get almost everything either cheaper or for free. PS+ is a really good deal if you're sharing with a few people.
btw Dave, I got the DLC for KZ3 for free with my PS+ account if you want it. :-* Title: Re: Picked this game up Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 01:58:11 pm also...
anyone know if you can get a sharing circle going? like I share with Person A then A --> Person B --> Person C --> infinity... you know, so that way one person could buy something then everyone else could get it for free....? we could possibly get everyone on here that's trustworthy to "share" and just take turns on who would buy. with 20+ people, you would probably only have one turn per year. ??? Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 01:59:52 pm triple POAST!
Joker's poast count is 1337 8) Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 19, 2011, 02:03:40 pm I haven't played kz3 for awhile in fact I haven't played much of anything for awhile besides online poker with cam, I do want that sometime , I got Castle Crashers if you want that, when I was on your account I seen that you downloaded the demo sometime, its a fun little game that you can play online together, so if you liked it you can have it
Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 02:10:18 pm I download tons of stuff and usually never play it...
I even buy things and then never play it (RDR zombies for instance)... that fireplace background is kinda cool though, huh? too bad I didn't find that till winter was almost over. Next time you get on my account, go through all the PS+ stuff Dave. there are literally hundreds of free little games like castle crashers. Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 19, 2011, 02:14:33 pm sounds good , ya the fireplace is real cool, my daughter likes the dead nation hand and the fishtank the most , did you notice after awhile that hand will flip you off?
Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 02:42:13 pm lol! no, I don't know if I ever used that one. like I said, I download a lot of stuff and never actually use it. I have like 20 themes dl'd, lol.
I'm using the Playstation theme that changes all the time and shows stuff like the PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, etc... there's a ton of cool stuff on the PS Store if you just poke around for a while. lot's and lot's of videos, pics, music, games, themes, avatars, DLC, etc... all for free. tons more if you use PS+ Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: hoop_210 on April 19, 2011, 03:54:57 pm dammit!...I need to poke around for that stuff...
soooo...you can share 5 times total?... or with 5 people over and over again... ??? where is more information about all thsi stuff? Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 04:17:38 pm you can share your account with 5 other accounts on multiple PS3's
once you've logged in on 5 PSN's, then you can't do it again you can download and redownload as much as you want for as long as you want. it's like you have a PS3 at 2-5 houses and want to be able to log in and play on the same PSN and have all the same downloads and DLC on each system... your just allowing others to use your 4 extra gameshares once again, if you gameshare all 5 times you WILL NOT be able to do it again. so, if your PS3 dies and you've already used up your gameshares, you're screwed. Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: hoop_210 on April 19, 2011, 04:40:48 pm soooo, when someone else used my DLC for BLOPS, like, first strike for my friend in Denver, will he get to download the DLC as well and use it when we play together?
how would i tell him to do it? Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: gefish on April 19, 2011, 09:00:53 pm I missed this thread. I didn't know Castle Crashers was free on +, there went $15 >:(
Finished single player today and it was awesome. We'll need to posse up and wreck some kids. Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 19, 2011, 09:16:21 pm soooo, when someone else used my DLC for BLOPS, like, first strike for my friend in Denver, will he get to download the DLC as well and use it when we play together? how would i tell him to do it? if you two gameshare, only one has to buy the DLC and you can both download it on your PS3's and play it like you both paid for it. one person buys, then everyone you gameshare with can use it. I missed this thread. I didn't know Castle Crashers was free on +, there went $15 >:( Finished single player today and it was awesome. We'll need to posse up and wreck some kids. I don't think Castle Crashers is free. Dave said he bought it and would let me dl it from him. ;) Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Joker on April 19, 2011, 09:46:34 pm Joker's poast count is 1337 8) It's so 1337, it doesn't move after I post. :o I played Online...and It's a joke. I'll be sticking to campaign for now. O0 Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Joker on April 20, 2011, 03:27:17 pm soooo, when someone else used my DLC for BLOPS, like, first strike for my friend in Denver, will he get to download the DLC as well and use it when we play together? how would i tell him to do it? if you two gameshare, only one has to buy the DLC and you can both download it on your PS3's and play it like you both paid for it. one person buys, then everyone you gameshare with can use it. Yeah that's what ownu911 let me do. He let me download all the map packs for all the CoD's. O0 Saved me a TON of money. Each map pack is like $20 and I downloaded about 6 of them. :) Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 20, 2011, 04:50:29 pm now, you can log into his account (as long as you have the correct login info) any time in the future and download anything he has paid for.
and, if the person who let's you use their account is a PS+ member, you get all those perks too (discounts, free games, etc...) Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 20, 2011, 05:23:40 pm I don't know why it does it and when it does it but if you download playstation plus stuff and your not a plus member, the game will work for so many days ( to my knowledge its many many days, can't give an exact number) but then you will one day go to load the game up and it will tell you something about game is no longer available and you need to sign into the playstation network , now I don't know if this has to do with time, how many people logged into that account or what but my best guess is Lakkus maybe you let didn't renew plus for a month or so? because this happened to me with the plus games you gave to me along time ago but I didn't even say anything to you or ask about it at the time, but when i recently got onto your account I got those games again and they work again, so who knows?

Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 20, 2011, 06:41:42 pm main thing you want to remember is go into your account info and delete your credit card info, even though the people I share with I obviously trust its just a no-brainer IMO, you can also change your password before you do it and then after the gameshare is done you can change it back, also once you started downloading things from there account, you can log off , you don't need to stay signed in to there account to complete downloads, after i'm done getting what i need I will log into my main account and you'll see the stuff there downloading.
you were kind of wondering how you do it , well I will make it simple for you. make a new user, switch to that user go to the " sign up for the psn " icon click on the " use exsisting account " enter your friends log in info go to playstation store either click on the download history or just search for the stuff you want and then download. like i said before once the download or downloads begin you can log out of your friends account so that they can log back in if they want and then you can switch back to your main account. Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Joker on April 20, 2011, 11:09:43 pm Lakkus/Dave: What if ownu buys a $40 game from the PSS? Can I still download it?
Wait, this works for PS +? :o :o :o Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 20, 2011, 11:27:20 pm short answer yes.
long answer if its a plus game it will only work for you for as long as OwnU is a plus member (this I believe from experience but my theory is just speculation until i talk to Lak about it ) Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 20, 2011, 11:29:51 pm and Joker I think your a cool cat and wouldn't mind gamesharing with you I just have one thing in the back of my mind i remember people putting some extra moh accounts on here for people to use and they were getting deleted and everybody pointed the fingers at you and donovin or however you spelled his name
Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Cadillak on April 21, 2011, 01:04:19 am PS+ members get to keep whatever they get for free until they cancel their PS+ membership
I don't know how it works with stuff you buy on the discount though Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: Permanent Poopface on April 21, 2011, 01:08:39 am I don't know why it does it and when it does it but if you download playstation plus stuff and your not a plus member, the game will work for so many days ( to my knowledge its many many days, can't give an exact number) but then you will one day go to load the game up and it will tell you something about game is no longer available and you need to sign into the playstation network , now I don't know if this has to do with time, how many people logged into that account or what my best guess is, Lakkus maybe you didn't renew plus for a month or so? because this happened to me with the plus games you gave to me along time ago but I didn't even say anything to you or ask about it at the time, but when i recently got onto your account I got those games again and they work again, so who knows? Wtf? Deleting an account is a dick move... Mainly because my MoH account was ranked 10... So I know how it would feel if my shit got deleted. Also Donovan admited to deleting accounts. ??? lmao Title: Re: Picked this game up (...and how gamesharing works) Post by: hoop_210 on April 21, 2011, 11:18:06 am thankx beastmode... O0 |
