Title: No love Post by: xCA3Nx on August 09, 2011, 01:31:56 am I have had fun playing this game maining pump action shotties and sniper rifles although at this point I will only play if I host or the host gives me a good connection otherwise the framerate can become unplayable. On Gamefaqs there is a Goldeneye community/chatter, alas this game (with its lovable flaws) came too late, released the same time as Wii Blops and thereby found crickets on WU.

Title: Re: No love Post by: xCA3Nx on August 09, 2011, 02:32:33 am Do you find it fun otherwise? With a good host connection going this is a fun old school game with somewhat choppy framerate that disappears in your mind with frequent play. I have my game settings almost completely maxed out because one of the flaws this game has is it is a bit sluggish when using the Wiimote trying to make quick turns, so I maxed the settings to offset this as much as possible. Numerous players who post on Gamefaqs use the CCpro (dual analog) and say you can turn better with the CCpro. I think this game might have been designed around the CCpro for old school reasons and then the Wiimote features were added? Despite this I have my best k/d ratio playing this game (using the Wiimote) maining pump action shotties and snipers. Full autos are the best guns but nothing too overpowered imo, it actually takes a bit of skill to get consistent nade kills in this game. My Wiimote settings are set so high, when I ADS the sights are almost uncontrollable with any movement except with the sniper scopes where the loose settings are helpful. I gained game insight lurking on Gamefaqs and previous Wii experience helped. If a friend asked, I would recommend Wii Blops over this game... Title: Re: No love Post by: xCA3Nx on August 09, 2011, 02:47:08 am Do you find it fun otherwise? I guess I am saying this game has its quirks you either love or hate. I think anybody who has played PS360 might have issues with this games quirks and unpatched issues. I appreciate this game, but I also appreciate the Wii despite the fact it is powered by a ten year old hamster. Title: Re: No love Post by: Dusster on August 09, 2011, 12:24:52 pm I tried playing GE007 yesterday and couldn't find a room...even with Region on/off it didnt matter....I was always the host waiting for people to connect....when I first got this game new it was easy to join...but I'm afraid the amount of players on this one has dropped off a ton....what Caen sez is pretty true...this game had some potential but timing was bad...I'm gonna wait and pick up the 360/PS3 version as a fun party game fall back to BF3 :)

The Goldeneye local (up to 4 player) party multiplayer is fun. I always turn on the paint ball mode so the bullets paint pretty pictures when playing with friends/kids. The PS360 version coming could be worthwhile if it has the local party multiplayer and a more refined on-line multiplayer that the more powerful systems should enable. Title: Re: No love Post by: xCA3Nx on August 13, 2011, 03:52:47 am Goldeneye Reloaded release for PS360:
Officially, Activision has yet to announce a release date or pricing details, but if you believe Amazon France, the game is scheduled to hit retail on October 28 (info I found on internet). So Fall of 2011 sometime it sounds like... Correction: I had not played Goldeneye for awhile and I got reminded that there are two overpowered weapons. The Masterton (semi-auto shotgun with hi capacity relatively quick load clips) and Proximity mines which are unlocked at level 52 & 53. There seems to be consensus on Gamefaqs that the Masterton (semi-auto shotgun) is the best gun and Proxy mines are evil considering most players will never play this game enough to unlock them -- I have added a mine finder perk on a custom class, screwing up my more favored perks when I have to counter. I have played this game for almost 5 days and have 15,200+ kills and only on level 35 out of 56. Level grinding is insane in Goldeneye, I will never play Goldeneye enough to unlock those overpowered weapons, at least I will therefore never nub it up with them. Title: Re: No love Post by: MG Maxdaddy on August 15, 2011, 03:02:11 pm Yeah, I bought a used copy of this game just to have something different to play besides COD. It's okay, but made me think of Conduit. Not sucka$$ like conduit, but just the framerate and overall gameplay. And you are right about the leveling up. I get owned by the better weapons and those damn mines >:(, but it will take forever to get to those higher levels. The local multiplayer is probably the best thing about this game.

So Fall of 2011 sometime it sounds like... It sounds like Golden Reloaded is coming to PS360 the first week of November 2011. I read it will run at 60fps in full 1080p (720p on 360) and support the PS Move on PS3. If I owned a PS3, I would be maining Goldeneye Reloaded with PS Move in hand instead of clicking dual analog sticks on B3 or MW3. Goldeneye Reloaded will be a hidden cult favorite on PS360. I just don't feel like investing in a PS3, the Move controllers and such with the slightly more powerful Wii U only a year away. Plus, I want a 46 inch 1080p / 3D Panasonic Viera plasma for my game room (man cave), I saw one retail $900 at Target, if I wait those TV specs will only get cheaper, lol. Goldeneye Reloaded is an improved version of Wii Goldeneye so I can play this game regardless on Wii with its lovable unpatched flaws and all.
