Title: **Official PS3 Caring Thread**
Post by: JabbaScrub on September 25, 2011, 09:29:29 am
Okay, so we really need to get our gaem together. This thread's purpose is to organize how we share everything.

I'll set everything up, just PM me suggestions as to who you'd prefer to share with. This will also be the place where we decide who is going to buy what. I just need to know how this is going to work out before I decide how we're going to set up the chart. Also, I'll be adding up the amounts everyone spends to help make sure everyone contributes.

The game can only be shared by the person who bought it. They can share it with whoever as long as the person they are sharing with has them as one of their users. Im pretty sure it doesn't matter how many times its dl'd.

You can only share games on 5 Playstation 3 systems. The person who bought the game is the only one who can share (if you download a game from someone else, you can't share that to someone else because you didn't buy it).

I used up all of mine  :-[
I have some good ****, too.

U2 DLC, RE4 HD, Beyond Good & Evil HD, etc..

Thread should be renamed for legality purposes.  :P

Your mom should be renamed.   >:(

Okay, so we're going to need groups of 5 to share with one another? We should pick groups that play mostly the same games.

I don't take things from people. I don't like having to keep their profile on my PS3.

Perhaps I should open a PayPal account. :P

To any PS3 administrators who may be reading this, please note: I have not and never will share my merchandise based upon our policiy agreement.  :-\ (giggle)

you don't have to keep there account on your ps3, you make another user then use there sign in download whatever and then bam it will be on your main user account, after that you can delete that other user that you made

After I deleted your account it wouldn't let me play BF1943 or Fat Princess anymore...

hmmmmm I am pretty sure I have deleted the other user accounts I have made for game sharing before and never have lost a game, but I made alot of user accounts and can't remember which ones were tied to game sharing and which ones were tied to different countries psn store, so I can't say for certain that is the case, but that sucks sorry that happened to you

Yeah once you delete their account(basically their login info), then you can no longer play the games you got from them.

even if that player only made a temporary password and then changed it right after they were done?

Yeah once you delete their account(basically their login info), then you can no longer play the games you got from them.

Does that work for map packs too?  I downloaded all the BO map packs from a friend then deleted their login info and now they're gone.  It makes sense...

If you had their temporary password, but still keep their login info, it'll keep the games and DLC(map packs)...But you just won't be able to login to that account to get any new stuff they have. So temporary passwords are good for keeping people off your account once they have the game you're giving them. Since it signs you out of your games if someone logs in under your name without permission.

It's the same for map packs and DLC since you need their info to trick the game into thinking you bought the DLC. And something with CoD's theater mode, if you saved a map pack game and deleted the person or map packs, that saved game will give you an error saying it can't be found.

Jabba..... you tryhard. There is no contradiction there. I learned from my past experience with Dave that I no longer wanted to take things from people because I would have to keep the account on my PS3. :P

wait I have game shared alot but I want to get this straight, you can download the same downloaded game on up to 5 different ps3's? now can you download that same game multiple times on those same ps3's? like so...

ps3 1= 1 download
ps3 2= 1 download
ps3 3= 1 download
ps3 4= 1 download
ps3 5= 1000 downloads
