Whats else would you reccomend? I was taking creatine pills but i stoped taking those. What is a good prework supplement? I was taking N.O Fury pills but i stoped taking those as well this **** gets expensive lol. Also does the cheap protein work just as good as the high dollar stuff i never really saw a difference? I started with twinlab 100% whey took that about 3 months then switched to muscle milk for a month or so then monster milk and now cg.

We're talking every 2-4 hours or so you should be taking in some kind of food substance whether it's a full course meal or something light like a bar. When I was on Cyto I would eat breakfast, take 2 scoops of cyto later at work, eat lunch, eat a bar, come home and eat dinner, and take another 2 scoops of Cyto in the evening. Sounds like a lot, but that's how you gain. :P Cytogain already has a decent amount of creatine in it already, so no need to take more unless you want to look all bloated. Extra BCAAs/Glutamine are always good compliments to protein since they speed up recovery. Good pre-workout? Can't go wrong with Jack3D. 45 servings for 30-35$? It's good for the money and great quality. Finally on the protein, there isn't really a best per say, but I like the whey isolate form since it has less fat and lower carbs than say doing whey concentrate. I don't even care about sticking to brands anymore, I've been trying everything. Muscle Milk is great so far! After that you just **** it out. Obviously I still need a ton of work, but heres a back story (or excuse) first. Back in March I was at prime tone and feeling great and my life was nearly destroyed, so I stopped working out and went casually until September. For the first part of the month I went **** cardio and mid September I started doing casual lifting. For the last 2 weeks I've stepped up my lifting and am mixing it in with cardio. Day 1: Biceps -alternating dumbbell curls -straight bar curls -hammer curls -seated ez bar curls but on this last exercise, I focus on contraction and spend 8 seconds per rep going back down Day 2:Chest -dumbbell bench press -incline barbell bench press (with a pause at the bottom) -decline barbell bench press -dumbbell flies Day 3: Shoulders -shoulder press -side laterals -front laterals -upright rows -revrse flies (I think that's what its called. You lay on an incline bench with your stomach on the pad, and you extend your arms out like a fly) Day 4: Back (and traps, even though they're part of the back, some people think its shoulder lol :o ) -deadlift (**** love this exercise) -barbell shrug -t-bar row -lat bar pull -hyperextension Day 5: Triceps -seated dumbbell tricep extensions -cable pushdowns -laying down ez curl bar tricep extensions -dumbbell kickbacks Day 6: Legs -leg press(I go as heavy as I can here) -squats(ass to calves or at least breaking parallel. And I don't go super heavy on this one. I like to rep it out at a light weight such as 135-185) -quad extensions -leg curls (idk what the correct name is) I don't supplement anymore, but I am eating like a madman. 3000 calories a day in order to be 200 lbs before I cut down for my upcoming competition. If you're talking to me, I usually max out around 40. Any more than that and I start swinging and using my back after a few reps which I won't let myself do. Perfect form always. But if I can get like 4 in with 45, ill do a dropset and hit the 40's, and then maybe the 35's for a few extra reps to get max overload.Red, have you tried Jack3d or 1MR yet? Laying down on your stomach on an incline bench have a partner hand you the dumbells while your arms are extending down, then curl up towards you are the bench, this excerise will help fill in that gap you get between your bicep and your elbow joint

It's been 2 years almost to the day (give or take 1-2 weeks) since I started going to the gym faithfully...almost. :P I never did an official "before/after" pic nor chart any progress, but I've managed to drop 30 pounds and tone up while gaining muscle weight in that time. Yogurt parfait (find a plain yogurt with the least sugar) and add fruit, rolled oats, and flax seed. Lunch: Greens!!! I've read that midday is the best time to eat your leafy's. Greens also give you natural fiber. Huge salad with a hard boiled egg or 2 cut up and added to it with veggies. Use vinaigrette dressing as opposed to ranch. Tuna sandwich with diced up celery & maybe cut up hard boiled egg on whole wheat bread. Brown rice with seaweed sheets (use them like a burrito or try and make California rolls) Chicken breast with a red or white potatoe (not fried, baked. No butter either.) Dinner: Either of the above Also include things like fish, beans, and lentils. Other food items to include in your meals or just for snacks: Fruits; Oranges, pears, bananas, apples, mangoes, pineapples, grapes, etc... I use one machine almost identical to this one for chest/tri's and 3 weeks ago without jack3d I could do 3 sets of 15 reps with (2) 45lb & (2) 35lb plates (160 lbs total) and that was about it. Now I can do 2 sets of 10 to 12 reps with (6) 45lb plates (3 on each side) for a total of 270 lbs. before I gas out. I couldn't believe how effortless it was when I started increasing the weight. Tied my all time best jump 6'6" (1.98m).
I've only jumped that height once before which was in February 2009. 2 meets left this outdoor season, so I'm hoping for 6'8"+ (2.03m+) Still can work on my form over the bar, and I still have plenty of strength to gain, so I know I can go much higher. I also checked the high jump results of the meet that my college's track team went to today. We had 3 kids from my school competing. One jumped 6', another 6'2" and the other one jumped 6'4"... so I jumped higher than all of them. Not trying to brag, but it's pretty lame that the coach didn't want me training with the team in the outdoor season because now my jumps have been pretty consistent these past 3 track meets I've been in. Then again, I guess I'm very injury prone, so maybe they didn't want to bother with me. I still jumped okay considering my highest jump is still 1.98m (6'6"), but my jumping leg's knee just feels weak.
I'm going to take the next two weeks off (just going to do a lot of stretching/icing and knee strengthening exercises). It sucks because I put more work into training for this between Summer 2011 and Fall 2011, but I guess I'm still too weak and not technically sound to jump those higher heights, but I'm still going to try because I know I have way more in me. This summer, I am going to train like a crazy person. I'm going to have a list of goals every day, and I will not sleep until those are completed. Then, I can rest knowing that I did all that I wanted to for that day. More work in the weight room + technique work + a lot of sprints and core work. I think I'll do 4 weeks of hard work, then 1 easy week, 4 hard weeks, 1 easy, etc.. I'll have to do a lot of injury prevention training and icing so this **** doesn't bother me again. I'm also planning on gaining 10-15 pounds from now until the end of August. I'm about 170lbs now, so I want to be between 180-185. I'm going to eat a box worth of pasta every day, among all of the other stuff I eat. MEET TODAY: I only jumped 1.91m (6'3.25), but I can't complain too much because throughout the 5 meets I've had this outdoor season, I've jumped: -1.93m (6'4") -1.91m (6'3.25") -1.98m (6'6") (Tying my personal best/only my 2nd time jumping the height ever) -1.93m (6'4") -1.91m (6'3.25") Between 1.91m - 1.98m, which is the most consistent I've ever jumped between meets throughout my whole jumping career. Changing up my lifting workouts for muscle confusion. Yesterday, I did squats for 45 minutes. 4 reps a minute for 43 minutes, then 5 reps for each of the last 2 minutes. Quads feeling sore today. Before doing this, I did 6x200m sprints on the track, and after the lifts I did 20 mins on the stationary bike. I really want to be injury free all summer so I can go hard with the weight training and sprints. I want to go to NCAA's so bad. I need to get back into my workout routine myself. Sorta slacked off this past week... and the week before. Going to Nashville broke my daily routine a little bit, but up until then I had a pretty solid day-to-day thing going for 3 months. Started nearly a year ago a month or two before I went to Portage, slacked off in Portage (was looking for a gym and didn't have the room to really do any at home workouts) and kinda over the holidays until 3 months ago. A break is good sometimes. But it's been harder to get to sleep at night so I should probably resume that damn routine. Need to start burning that energy again. Oddly, I can't really gain weight. Part native American. But wait... amphetamines make it difficult to maintain an... what?Seriously? Or is it just that compound? Good info though sir. I might need to try some of those alternatives you suggested. Haven't used anything vitamin wise yet. My routine is mostly just to burn my high energy levels and help me sleep at night. As long as you're taking a multi-vitamin and protein, whether through diet or supplementation, you're in the green. You obviously don't need any kind of pre-workouts since your body is a fat burning machine all day. To gain weight you really just gotta up your calories/carbs/protein. Maybe you don't have time to eat 9 meals a day, which equates to every 2 hours of eating. All fat is, is just stored energy. Once your body releases it from stores, it converts it into energy. Yea you're skinny, so you're burning fat in places you didn't even know you had. >:D Yes, any kind of vaso constrictor MAY make you impotent. I've never deadlifted or squated, and now that my gym membership ran out (have a gym in garage) i dont think i'll be doing them any time soon. But people tell me that those exercises work plenty of muscles. I might do Back and Front Squats on the same day, or just one of the two + lunges/Bulgarian Split Squats. With good form, you shouldn't strain your knees too bad. Never let your knees come inward. ALWAYS make sure they are above your ankle or further outward. Squat with the core/hips. I do avoid sugar (for acne control & the fact it doesn't mesh well with my Adderall) for the most part. So no sugary snacks like those Oatmeal Cream Pies or such. But I eat Pizza (frozen or ordered) all the time, hot pockets (not lean pockets), etc. I kinda do use a routine. I sorta improvised my own thing just to compliment my ADD and help me pay more attention. So I don't get bored you know? It's only 30 minutes a day. Maybe I should add some weights. Pardon me here, I have absolutely no knowledge on anything like this lol. But is that like one pill or several? Deadlift to Hang Clean to Front Squat. 1 rep each exercise for 5-6 reps total of each exercise. You just keep going through the three exercises until you hit 5-6 reps for each. Do 3 sets. Do a weight that isn't too hard, but a weight that will still tire you. I used 135lbs. Was sweating bullets fast. I have a track meet on Saturday. If I don't jump 6'6" or higher, I'm going to quit (or I'd probably just get kicked off the team). Still have pain in my knee even after all the yoga and rehabilitation exercises/icing/supplements. I think the real problem lies deeper (maybe a surgery), but I'm going to try for 6'8" on Saturday. Without track, I'll have several hours more of free time to work on projects and whatnot, but I'll still miss training/competing. That's why I really want to get this knee fixed so I can eventually train in MMA and maybe give the 2016/2020 Olympics a shot. Make sure your diet relatively good and make sure you have your rest, it is very important for recovery. On high rep exercises lift big and to failure last 3 reps need to be hard. I don't like the taste of fish that's why I bought the fish oils. Got multivitamins just incase im slacking on a area. Creatine is debatable but imo it helps I do notice I can lift more when im taking it bench is always way more when I take it. Im stacking the p6 and zma it has a estrogen blocker adds strength and promotes free testerone and better sleep. Sleep is the most critical time for muscle recover and build. All of this **** will probaley only help 10 percent but building muscle takes time and ever bit helps.

Same for legs and back everything dumbbell. I built a pretty good amount of muscle now im going for strength im starting a powerlifting routine. Dumbbells and using a Olympic bar is pretty different. Anyway I maxed out on bench at 210 today my max use to be 225 went down some but im pretty happy I figured it would be lower after the long delay. Deadlift ive never used a Olympic bar deadlift before always used 2 dumbbell's maxed out on that at 285 I think I had pretty good form also not totally sure felt really new to me. I really like it though. My goal is 285 bench and 350 deadlift.

Anywho lol ya it has to be a lifestyle and you have to be committed fully to it or it will be all just a waste of time. Nutrition is half of it working out is the other half. I think ive said this before but I was a fatass all through school almost 300 pounds etc no muscle then. Depression and eating tons junk never doing anything played games was basically it. I tried all kinds of diets I did everything the stupid dumbass way until I learned what works. I dieted my ass off until I got to 150 but I didn't have any muscle. Actually i think the pics i posted on here i was 160 or so something like that. Anyway i started to train like a bodybuilder 5 days a week i bust my ass for a hour a day made sure i ate tons of protein doing all the things a bodybuilder would do im now up to 190. 5 hours a week to look and feel better pretty much. to me its now a hobby i actually enjoy lifting weights i think about it at work and so forth. When you finally start to see gains its very satisfying you feel like you accomplished something its a great feeling. Also when you lift weights your metabolism will be much better you can afford to eat a fast food combo meal every now and then it will be gone the next morning. Its worth it bro, the first few months are hell but if you stick with a program you will eventually start enjoying it i recommend a video program something like body beast once you get it down you can start making up your own workouts. When your new you will be confused on how many sets to do what exercises to do for what muscles so on and so forth. Tonight ill try and find a torrent link that you can dl it if you are interested just try a video and see what you think. if you have weights laying around try this move I know most guys are concerned about arms. biceps mainly I honestly don't care all that much about them I like the triceps more. But do this afew times a week you will see results they are a easy move to do and they isolate your biceps. do a set of 15 then drop to a set of 12 then a set of 8 followed by a drop set of 8. then rest 2 min switch the motion to a hammer curl do the same thing then rest 3 minutes. Then do 4 sets of either 1,2 ,or 3 reps this is a max set what that means is this is the set where you up the weight as much as you can possibly do and only do it one or two times this will shock the muscles and create growth. Once you get a pump going you will eventually start to love working out trust me. Arnold describes the pump like sex. Basically tons of blood will feel up the area around your bicep and they will be 2x bigger then what they are for the time you are working out you get this feeling of being invincible a hulk like feeling its amazing. Rest time in between sets is paramount in a quality workout. Too much rest and you lose your pump. Too little rest and you quickly fatigue the working muscle. on a multi set like that rest about a minute before your next set. Then when your switch the move up rest about 2-3 minutes. The longer you rest, the more your muscles can recover from the previous set, and the more weight you can push and pull. However, you do run the risk of losing the much sought after pump and the rush of endorphins which gives you a natural high. That's why I keep it a min on sets and 2 or 3 when you switch it up to a whole another exercise.

Separate the men from the boys as they say lol. legs are hard man hardest of all muscle groups you tired out very fast as they are the biggest muscles in your body and you burn a lot of calories and energy working them. I was fat I had that slouch type back after deadlift my posture is a **** load better almost perfectly straight. If your doing them with dumbells id say 30s or 35s for 15 reps then do a set of 12 reps after with 40s then a set after that of 8 reps with 40s to 50s then a drop set of 8 back 30s. So it should look like this 15,12,8,8DS. That should be good. Do that for awhile and adjust the weight accordingly don't worry about how much weight your doing at the beginning start out low and up as you progress. After you do that for abit change the set to 15,12,8,8,12,15 with 50 second rest inbetween. I pretty much gave up on high jumping after 4 years or so of not making progress, even though I've gotten stronger and faster ??? Gonna try to run the 800m in some open meets. My first meet will probably be April 6, and then hopefully I'll compete the weekend after that as well. Aiming for under 2 minutes even though I've never ran an 800m in a meet, but I'll try and stay close to the other guys in my race. Been doing some basic training for it. Ran for 20 mins. today even though I planned on doing 45........... my motivation levels are shot after being extremely disappointed with how my high jump goals didn't come to fruition. It's hard to train for stuff like this and barely compete, and when you do compete, you compete like sheit. Im loving the gym i can't wait to go i actually wake up at 5 am to make sure i get their and have all of the machines to myself basically lol. I use to dumbells only so all of these dam machines is awesome they have everything too like pretty much every machine ever invented its great. Im loving the arm machines im geting amazing pumps my fave machine so far hands down the side lateral raise shoulder machine great stuff.

I'll check back in after a couple of months of doing this. Thanks Red welp, it's been several months since and i haven't done SHIT! Well, that's not completely true. The last few weeks I've been easing into the whole deadlift thing. I'm still doing low weight until my legs are used to it and I think Im about ready to increase the weight. I really don't want to get on the road to bulking up though. I'd rather my legs be "springy" instead of "rock solid". As far as endurance in my legs and back, I've seen great gains. I can do my job a lot more easily and I don't feel super tired at the end of the day. Again, I'm not going for size but I've still seen a nice increase in size of my legs and can feel more firmness in my lower back. Core feels a bit tighter too. Will do another check-in in another month and a half. By then I should have increased weight and also dropped some inches. I do squats, lunges and deadlifts (with a little weight only) and I'm not sure how well they work out my hams and glutes. Any tips? I do the leg exercises once a week only. Isn't that overworking? lay on your stomach put your feet under your car and then try to lift it with your legs, this will work your hamstrings well, you know, i do that on the weekends just for fun and to try to impress the girls that live behind me, except i do it with my boner. i can lift my mazda that way and it makes it easy to do the tire rotation, but i might ask my uncle to let me borrow his dually. boy, them girls was impressed doe. even the dad came out to say "dayum". Title: Re: ***The Official WU Dirtbag Weight Room Club*** IBU (you sexy boy) Post by: Red Fatality on September 23, 2013, 07:21:15 pm do wall squat holds man. go up against a wall and go into a squat position with your back against the wall and just hold it get for as long as you can. great exercise doesn't seem hard but try holding that position a minute you will see what im talking about lol. do like 3 sets of a minute with like 15 second rest between sets and finish a 4th set with one leged wall squats 20 seconds ea leg. you will build strength and leg endurance doing that. Do what you are doing now but add this at the end as a finish up you will be burnt out and ready for recovery process.

oh and i'll try those wall squats too. thx. I'll have to wait until next monday to do that though. In the mean time I'm going to start doing a lot of pullups, pushups, some basic weight stuff like curls, and also running. My legs feel strong enough for me to get into running without **** up my legs too bad. Regular and decline pushups for chest and triceps. Then I did barbell and dumbell curls for biceps. I did hammer curls for forearms too. Then I got the barbell and lifted it above my head (not sure what it's called) and that was for shoulders. Probably need to work my back shoulders too though.
how's that? Also, I don't have too many weights or money to join a gym so I'll probably be doing a lot of calisthenic type ****. I don't want to get "big" anyway. You should lift 3x a week. Don't do too much weight. Listen to your body. You can do legs on each of those days, but focus on quads one day, hamstrings the next ,etc. I would combine back/biceps, and chest/triceps, and shoulders by itself. Pick 2 upper body exercises on each of the three days with those muscle groups. Pick 3 lower body exercises. You eventually want to build to heavier weight, lower reps (for fast twitch muscles), but I wouldn't recommend that now. Just start light on lifts like squats and deadlifts, and once you think you have the form down, you can move the weight up a bit. Legs its best to do higher reps imo and more volume. How much weight from a pure muscle building stance is overrated its all about time under tension, volume or sets and integrity of the rep. Meaning good form and so forth. Remember the eccentric part of the rep is the most important thats where the muscle fibers get broken down. Meaning on the way down go slow its not about just getting the weight up controlling on the way down is more important.

Compared to the old formula i cant really say which one is better they both have their advantages. This new one is definitively not that jacked mirco crap this one is a good. In terms of focus and that caffeine and tingle buzz the advanced version isn't as good at the original but as far as weight training this one is amazing at giving you a good pump its better in doing that then the original. I was repping out sets like nothing with it usually preworkouts that claim they give you a pump and use nitric oxide or some**** for me have never worked this one worked very well. Overall i thin it just comes down to preference i actually prefer this one to the original if i add a extra scoop or half scoop then it recommends. Just to get that extra caffeine

Say your bmr (maintenance calories) is 3000 eat 2500 calories every single day for afew weeks then adjust accordingly because you droped weight so your maintenance will be lower. Or you could do cardio(so you can eat more) as long as your in a calorie deficit you will lose weight. Thats it thats the secret lol the fitness /weight loss industry is a **** joke. They don't give a **** about helping anyone but wallet size. Track your macros man dl myfitness pal on your phone and track everything you eat you will be amazed at how easy weight loss is. Just fill in everything. you can basically eat whatever you want and still lose weight. I wouldn't recommend that though the healtier you eat the more energy /better you will feel and overall be more healthy. The only real secret is about every 3rd week have a massive cheat day eat something like 5000 calories refill energy stores and boost metabolism/ hormone levels back up. Oh make sure you get enough protein to preserve muscle.

Been working on dat v taper 215 here took like a week or so ago down to 211. My goal is to cut to 180 get to the lvl on rippedness i was at afew years ago. Cuting is so **** miserable.
